I found this Dickie Goodman record from 1983, which I’m guessing was given away by New York’s famous WHTZ-FM, better known as Z100. The station debuted that year and literally went from the lowest-rated station in NYC to first in less than three months. I guess doofy custom novelty records might’ve helped. Goodman spent decades making money from so-called comedy records where he’d play a reporter and ask an interview question; the response would be a clip from a current popular song at the time. Goodman started doing these on the 1950s and managed to make a career out of it. That’s amazing because it’s awful.
