Alessa gives you such a deadpan look, it seems as if her soul left her body. "And what does age," she begins, fingers on her temples. "Has to do with the matter? Did the fool not steal from us regardless?"

Hadrian brows lower, and he suddenly looks concerned. "Wait," he interjects, green eyes flashing from you to Alessa. "How young are we talking about here?"

Alessa's eyes have already rolled and they stare at him now. "You may rest your holy virtue," she says, and Hadrian's scowls. But the fingers on his cross snap back. "He is old enough to be called a man."

She pauses. "Well, not that anyone calls him that."

Hadrian chuckles as she grins, and you pout in your chair, crossing your arms. It seems the world agrees: Rafael is truly a terrible choice.
