Morning Markets ⟩⟨ Naruto & Sai
Endless possibilities. Countless thoughts swirled in Naruto's head as he stared out over the Konoha. It was dawn and already the blond was wide awake. Doing normal duties each and everyday with a missing arm was getting hard at some points. It was odd though that Kakashi hadn't signed him up for a mission yet. Naruto had spent the first couple of weeks resting up in his apartment until he felt comfortable to go outside. Even as he stood out on his deck he could barely even feel peace in the wind. Sasuke was back and everything seemed as it should be.
"I can't believe that it's over." Naruto mumbled to himself as he gripped the metal bar in a tight grip. "I finally saw dad again... and he's back." A smile greeted his lips as the memory came back. How fresh it was still in his brain. He could still smell the faint metallic sense of blood. "I think it's time to celebrate. How about a new garden plant and maybe some ramen for starters. 'ttbayo." Running inside he grabbed a shirt and pulled it over his head. He stuffed some coins into his back pocket. Almost forgetting his shoes he slipped them on and dashed out doors.
The people of Konoha were up and about which was a good sign that the world was coming back to normal. Adjusting his shirt he rounded the corner to go into some alleyways. The ramen shop wasn't too far but he had some time to spare before they opened. He didn't want to be the first one there even though he usually had been. Azure eyes glimmered as soon as they spotted the market place buzzing with excitement. People flocked the stalls as goods were exchanged. One stall caught his eye as he walked on over.
"Aye how much for the plant?"
"Sir we have far better plants in the back if you want to take a look at those!" The shop owner said as she recognized the blond. "This one has been sitting here for a couple of days."
"No no that's fine! No need! I'll take it." He dug inside his pocket to grab out a small handful of coins and set them onto the small table. The plant wasn't in that bad of condition and already Naruto was getting attached to the little green leafed sprout. "Just like me aren't you? Don't worry. I'll take good care of you 'ttbayo." Something caught his eye as he held the plant under his arm. A lone figure who made a smile greet his lips. "Sai."
