Miracleman Vol 1 #24
Comparing the art from Miracleman Vol 1 #23 from 1993 or 1992 or something versus Miracleman: The Silver Age from 2022, and man is the difference striking. The first are so evocative in showing Young Miracleman's emotional state, the sense of isolation he feels from his closest friend, the man he loves, because that man has become a god and he can no longer reach out to him while the modern art feels so sterile and emotionless. What I can't understand is the art is by the same man, Mark Buckingham, but it looks and feels so much drier, so less intense and emotionless. Maybe it's prettier, but it is far less compelling. I dunno, I'm really bothered by this. And it's not as if the script changed!!!
