Merci @didierdrogba ! One of the greatest ever, especially because his career didn't really get big until his mid 20's. I say he's one of the greatest because of his work outside the pitch as well: after helping his native country of Côte d'Ivoire qualify for their first World Cup in 2006 , he made a desperate plea to the combatants of the 5 year long bloody civil war, asking them to lay down their arms, a plea which was answered with a cease fire. Drogba later helped move an African Cup of Nation qualifier to the rebel stronghold Bouaké to confirm this peace. He's built hospitals with endorsement money, all the while personally ensuring those building said hospitals are local workers and contractors and that the hospitals are then staffed by fellow Ivorians. Allez Didi, today we celebrate a great career and and even greater man. Thank you for all the memories. #kingoflondon #dididrogba #drogba #allezdidi https://www.instagram.com/p/Bp9hDClFmHP/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=kr0hwenqjoya
