Awww hiiii! 🥺❤️ I'm not doing great rn tbh lol I started an apprenticeship last week and it was horrible (shitty colleagues and supervisors who made it obvious they hate fat people and there was a fellow apprentice who did shit wrong and even when I said it was him they thought I did it and sent me to fix it for no reason etc) so I quit on Tuesday yay 😃 I'm working on an application for a journalism trainee position rn and I NEED you all to pray I get it, it’s literally been my dream since I was a kid 😭

BUT I went to see Cherie Currie with Shameless and Stevie Rachelle opening and it was GREAT and I'm still Facebook friends with Stevie and 3/4 of the Shameless guys. Actually I made a whole ass post about that so I won't elaborate here lmao

Also I'm seeing Spread Eagle, ToxicRose, Stølen and a band from my town next Saturday and Tailgunner (been waiting to see them live since they released their first single in early 2022) the Friday after

Heya Mel! I just had a random Beast in Black thought. I'm just guessing you're probably not a fan of the manga and anime that a lot of the music is based on and I was wondering how you experience the songs about these. Specifically what's your opinion on for example Zodd The Immortal or The Fifth Angel?

Also on a kind if related note, have you checked out Battle Beast before? Especially the first 3 albums which are written by the same guy who writes all Beast in Black songs.

Hey!! Firstly, I'm so sorry for leaving this unanswered for ages, please know I live in shame 😭

Honestly I randomly bought Berserker on CD for cheap one day and decided the entire album slaps, so with these songs I more or less just vibe with the tune and kinda accept I don't get the lyrics on the same level as people who know what they're based on. I'm lowkey planning to get into anime and manga though, so who knows how much my opinion will change!

All I knew about Battle Beast until you sent this ask was that their vocalist featured on an Amaranthe song I really like, but I checked out some of their stuff in the meantime and I like them so far! I can definitely hear similarities in songs from those 3 albums
