Q had been on one of his usual late-night wanderings when the skies had opened. Normally he wouldn't mind the rain but he hadn't thought to check the forecast prior to his adventure so he only had a light jacket on. He ducked quickly under the awning of a shop, grateful that the owners had decided not to put it away from the night as he waited for the rain to stop.

The appearance of a strange in the same shelter made him smile just a little; he had long since learned it was better to act casual rather than awkward in the middle of the night unless you wanted to be a target. "Lovely night." He noted sarcastically. "Should have thought to bring my umbrella."

Being ‘loaned out’ to his grandfather’s competitors in an attempt to pacify them was never Alaster’s favorite of assignments. As cruel and unforgiving as his grandfather could be he often gave them permission to do whatever they wished to him and it often resulted in the danger of his assignments skyrocketing. He had a reputation for being... resilient. The more curious liked to test that. 

Still, he had heard a good deal about Holtzmann. Not nearly as much as he had wished but reputation was everything and his was of a chipper nature. Devastating when crossed, of course, but weren’t they all? 

“Mr. Holtzmann.” Alaster greeted the man, stepping into his office like the shiny new toy that he was, and gave a soft of playful bow with arms spread wide. “I’m Alaster Sharpe. I believe you’ve been expecting me. My grandfather, of course, sends his love.” 

He grinned widely at that, knowing it was utter bullshit.
