Series and Difference Equations
General form of second-order homogeneous difference equations is: af(n+2)+b f(n+1) +cf(n) = 0.Here I show how to solve it using some examples.
After the midterm my grade for my math class took a dive to a C and has been hovering in mid C range since. I might fail my one fucking math credit that I need because my teacher seems to think nothing is wrong with given non-answers to questions and tell us multiple times "See this is easy! This stuff is easy." More than half the class has failed 2 of the tests of which we got retakes. The second time he blamed the class failing on us for not preparing when the lady next to me had spent 3 hours preparing for the test. Just to give you some idea of how he teaches (just barely) he will just start skipping steps of problems of new material. Just whole steps and expects us to somehow follow along. We are talking about difference equations and financial formulas. That's probably the biggest issue. Math is supposed to be done in specific steps, skipping those steps just fucks it all up. We have tried asking questions multiple times about how we don't understand something or other and he just gives this terrible explanations and answers. Most of the time it is him just explaining it again in the exact same way he just did that no one understood or saying "This is easy"
My best friend, who helped me through all the math classes prior, is away. I really miss hanging out with her now and getting help. If I get a C on my final I might pass
