Y'know mostly all fics with the maiden as a protagonist starts out with the maiden hating their job until she inevitably gets together with Lady Dimitrescu or her daughters then she's suddenly is like 'wait nevermind being a maid is not so bad after all' which makes sense But! what bothers me is the fact, that the maiden knows there are other maids in the castle, who aren't lucky enough to get special treatment and are suffering but the maiden doesn't even try to convince her vamp gf to treat the maids better?? Like gurl why aren't you helping your fellow maids out when you are absolutely capable of doing so? I hope your fics would take this into consideration haha (this isn't meant to be shade or hate btw just my thoughts)

Take into consideration all maids are not good and selfless saints either. Alexia is by no means a perfect, kind, heroic protagonist. In fact, she is quite the selfish bastard and even sleeping with Cassandra at first was a way to ensure her own survival. When she wishes to escape, it is for herself. She doesn't trust any other maid to be into her plan. Alexia has always been alone in life, looking out for herself, so in the castle it's a 'every woman for herself' scenario.

I don't think even I would really advocate for rights of others tbh, in their conditions. Harsh as it sounds, human instinct isn't to defend others. It's to preserve our own asses first and foremost.

At least that's how I see it. Everyone's free to have their own opinion and voice it, no hate.
