What's So Great About God, Anyway?
God is so different from our puny gods and idols. He is capable of loving and giving, not just demanding and receiving. C.S. Lewis said, "God doesn't want something from us. He simply wants us." This is so true. When you really start thinking deep, you realize that all your life, God has been looking out for you, keeping you safe and provided for. Maybe not in the way that you wanted it to happen, but that's what he's been doing. He doesn't just sit back and wait to see what happens. He loves you with a sweet, fiery passion that can't be snuffed out.
We sure make it feel like we're together, because we're scared to see each other with somebody else.
