“This place really is somethin’ else. “ Barrel scrunched his nose slightly, kicking at the pavement with worn down boots. “It’s all bright here, too many colours” He glanced up, noticing another person not too far from him. “Oi, what’s this place called? Where am I?”

Bram jumped a little as the man spoke in his direction and he looked up. “Oh, uhm, you’re in New York.” he replied. “New to the city?” he asked, tilting his head.

Steve

“I don’t give up, kid,” Steve replied with a small chuckle. “I don’t think it’s in my bones to be able to give up. Never have been able to.”

Bram gave a nod. “I have faith. Everything will work out fine.” he promised. “Just keep your hope, deal? Tony’ll be back and he’ll come around.” he assured.

“Oh, it’s super shiny!” Bram grinned. “It looks good on you, Cherry. Is it for work? Hopefully that asshat from your last one hasn’t caused too much trouble in you finding a new one.”

Bram tilted his head. “So...these people are making it complicated on your relationship?” he asked, trying to make sure he understood.

“I don’t have any idea what you’re talking about, but if it’s what you feel like is best for you, no worries!” Webby smiled. She wanted the stranger to be assured, as he seemed to be talking about something important that could change his life for better or worse.

Bram looked up at the girl and smiled. “Oh, I was talking about colleges.” he explained. “It’s a whole new chapter and I’m a little nervous about the whole thing.”

Alec

Alec chuckled softly at Bram before nodding. “Good, because I don’t think we’d get along if we were both sarcastic asses.” He replied before walking with him towards the coffee shop. “Yeah, I know. I’m just used to working and all.”

Bram grinned. “You’re not always a sarcastic ass, you know.” he replied. “You’re a softie when it comes to your family, deep down. It’s why you’re my favorite.” he replied, leading the older man into the cafe. “Used to working or are you trying to not go stir crazy after your wound?” he asked. “Jace said you got hurt pretty bad. Are you healing okay?”

Wanda

“It does…for the time being at least. Which I will happily take a few moments of calm any day.” Breaking into a smile. “Is he not here or just busy?” She asked turning to look over at them.

Bram looked at her and nodded. “Any break is a welcome one, for sure. Especially for some of my friends.” He agreed, thinking of Alec, Jace and the other shadowhunters. Her question made him look up and he smiled. “He’s busy. I was headed home from work when I noticed the fireworks.” he explained.

Alec

Couldn’t even try to be an ass about it or sarcastic. Well, damn.” Alec chuckled, which was rare for Alec. He usually always had some kind of witty comeback, well most of the time. “Alright. Yeah, coffee sounds amazing.”

“Nah, I’m not much of an ass or sarcastic.” Bram replied, smiling. “I think I’ll leave that to Jace and Simon.” He added, motioning for Alec to follow. “I’m glad you’re doing better now. You shouldn’t work yourself so hard.”

“Can’t say I was ever much of a business man.” he said with a shrug, looking over at the kid. “but you should definitely do what makes you happy. What about the traveling would be hard? I mean I’m sure they pay for it and all.”

Bram smiled and nodded. “I just like helping people, but I don’t have the heart to be a nurse or doctor.” He shrugged a little, pausing and giving an outright lovestruck smile. “My boyfriend. I don’t know if he’d be able to travel with me. We went through a lot to get to where we are, and he means so much to me. I can’t bear the thought of leaving him if the soccer thing won’t let him come with me.” He explained, reaching up to rub the back of his neck. “

I’m watching Cedric the Entertainer now that I’m home from probably the worst party ever and it’s making the night so much better. XD I’m thinking of a starter or two based on my muses watching this special.
