" I really shouldn’t . I’m fine . Thanks anyways though . " I answered .

" come on now Asia . It’s just a simple outing for coffee . Ain’t gonna hurt nobody but yourself cus you’re gonna regret it if you don’t go . Did you forget I know you well ? " he asked and laughed a little .

" you know the young and dumb Asia . Not the grown one . "

" but I know the young and dumb one is still there somewhere . "

" whatchu tryna say ? " I asked and laughed .

" just come on . " he replied .

The paparazzi at this point were getting annoying as hell bombarding us and shit . I had to make a quick move .

" alright but just for some coffee then I gotta go . I was in the middle of something . "

" you were in the middle of shopping . That can wait . " he said and laughed with a big smile on his face .

I followed him and the girl he was with to the cafe across the street and we went in to take a seat .

" these paparazzi yo . " I said and took a deep breathe as I took my purse off .

" they ain’t ever gonna change . " he said and laughed a little . " oh , Asia this is my girlfriend Sammy . Sammy this is a good friend of mine , Asia . "

" nice to meet you . " I smiled and gave her a handshake as she said the same . " how did you two meet ? "

" I was vacationing in Puerto Rico and we met out there . "

" oh so you’re not from the states ? "

" no I’m not but I come back and forth alot . I moved here when I was 18 for a little just to get the feel of America , then I started coming back and forth to find resources and help my family out back home . "

" oh wow that’s great . So is that like your job or something ? "

" mainly yes . " she answered .

" anyways , how have you been ? Haven’t talked to you in years . "

" well you’re the one that said you see me onto all the time . Take a wild guess . " I responded and laughed a little .

" yeah you’re right . " he also laughed .

" I’m nothing special . I wanna know how YOU have been . What’s up with you lately ? "

" at this point in life I’m great . Couldn’t have been better . "

" you just look amazing . I’ve never seen you look so good before . Foreal , like you’re skin is looking flawless what are you doing to it ? " I asked and he just laughed as I rubbed his cheek .

" keeping it clean , what do you mean ? " he laughed . " but thank you . "

" congratulations on your marriage ! Looks like Dig won . "

" thank you . " I smiled . " & yeah I guess you can say that . "

" what can I get you three today ? " the waiter asked . "

I’ll take a coffee . Extra sugar . Babe you want one ? "

" sure . I’ll have the same . " she answered .

" what about you asia ? " " I’ll just take a hot chocolate . "

" hold on the whip . " I answered and he wrote it down .

" okay I’ll return shortly . " he responded then left .

" so , are you and Dig millionaires or something yet ? " he joked .

" that’s for me to know and you to stop being nosey about . " I also joked .

" I’m sure you 2 have a huge house in Beverly Hills by now . "

" nope . Still in the same penthouse I’ve been in since I was like 21 . "

" really ? " he asked , shocked .

" really . " I answered and just nodded my head .

" im surprised . I thought you’d have a mansion by now . "

" why have a mansion when it’s just me & my husband ? That’s unnecessary space I’d have . I love spending money but you know I still have common sense and is still frugal with spending . "

" looks like some things never change . " he smiled .

” yeah , only some things . ” I responded . " you still in the same spot ? "

" no . hell no . " he answered and shook his head like crazy .

" why you say it like that ? "

" cus ... i couldnt be in that place anymore . i had to move out ASAP . just ... too many memories , good and bad , that happened in that house . would've just brought me down even more . i had to dip from there . "

" oh , i feel it . " i responded and we just looked at each other for a second .

” how do you two know each other ? ” Sammy asked .

” we go waaay back . ” Twist answered then smiled at me .

” yup , waay back . ” I agreed . We ended up talking for only about 20 minutes longer , then I remembered about shopping for Daniel .

” we should keep in touch though . It was good talking to you . ” Twist said as I was saying my goodbyes .

” I don’t think that would really be a good idea … ”

” is Dig really gonna trip off of that ? Come on now . ”

” yeah he might . ” I responded . ” do you remember my number ? ”

” um … Some of it . ”

” what is it ? ”

” you almost got it . I have the same number . Call me when you remember it . ” I said then started walking away .

” so that’s how you gonna leave ? ” he laughed .

” yup . Talk to you whenever you remember . Nice meeting you Sammy ! ” I responded then left the cafe .

I really shouldn’t stay in contact with him . That would be the last thing I need to do .

For the rest of the day I continued shopping for Daniel and actually ended up finding some good stuff for him . Before I got home I stopped at the store to buy some wrapping paper , then left it all in the trunk of my car .

” babe guess who I ran into today ? ” I asked as I was cooking dinner .

” who , Twist ? ” he and scoffed .

” yeah actually . How did you know ? ”

” foreal ? I was just guessing . How’s he doing ? ”

” he’s doing great . Foreal . He looks amazing , his life is finally straightened up , he’s been sober for about 3 years now I think he said , and he even has a girlfriend straight outta Puerto Rico . ”

” girlfriend from the PR ? He’s living it up . Good for him . ”

” he told me to tell you he’s sorry for all the past bullshit y’all went through too , I told him you’ve been dropped it but it takes a man to actually say sorry . ”

” yeah let him know it’s all good . We’re grown now . No need to be beefin over petty shit like that . Now if he does something to you like try and pull a move on you or something then we gon have some problems . ”

” & that will never happen . Trust me . ” I replied . ” he asked to keep in touch but I didn’t want to take his number and I didn’t give him mine . ”

” good move . ” he replied then just looked up at me from his laptop . ” you have the same number anyways . What if he remembers it ? ”

” I told him if he remembers then to call me . ” I responded . Not even a second after I said that my phone started ringing . Both of us looked at each other then the phone suspiciously . I went to the table to pick it up but it was just Ashunte . ” girl , I thought you were Twist . Lord you had me and Dig scared . ” I said and laughed .

” Twist ? What ? I was just calling so we can finish our convo from earlier . Explain . ” she replied so I told her the story as I finished cooking dinner .

” I’m convinced you’re cooking got better . ” Dig said as he was tearing his plate up .

” how ? ” I laughed .

” I don’t know but since we’ve been married its just been on point . ”

” cus I’m cooking it with love . ” I said and awkwardly smiled .

” you’re lame . ” he responded and we laughed .

” baby I wanna go and explore a different country . Lets go to Dubai for my birthday . ”

” Dubai ? ” He asked , caught off guard .

” yes , I heard that’s the spot to go to . I haven’t been to that part of Africa yet either . Please ? ”

” your birthday is next week . That’s not enough time to plan a trip to Dubai . ”

” fine . Next month then . ”

” next month we could definitely do . Sounds more reasonable . ”

” okay that sounds perfect ” i smiled .

” so what did you and Twist talk about ? ”

” just caught up on life . I really only wanted to see how he was doing and where he’s been lately . Didn’t say too much about myself tho . ”

” that’s wassup . Glad to hear he’s doing well tho . ”

” same here . Tune had me worried though cus he didn’t sound too certain when I asked him how Twist was doing . ”

” he just wanted to scare you . ” he laughed .

” he definitely can be an asshole tho . ” I also laughed .

” merry Christmas baby ” is what I woke up to on December 25th with breakfast in bed presented by my wife .

” yo this looks good as hell . ” I said when I woke up then stood up in bed .

” thought I’d give you a little boost of energy to start your day off since we’ll be doing the most today . ”

” you know it . ” she smiled . ” you go ahead and eat while I clean up the kitchen . ”

” love you too . ” she responded then left the room . As she did that I murdered the plate of food in front of me & talked on the phone to some people who called to say merry Christmas . ” we’ll be at the house around 5 ish or so . ” I said as I was talking to my dad on the phone . In the middle of our conversation I heard the clicking of heels in the bathroom . I looked up to see Asia coming out the bathroom in a sexy christmas lingerie outfit . ” dad I’ll call you back . ”

” okay well what abo- ”

” I’ll see you in a few alright love you bye . ” I said and hung up the phone . ” forget breakfast , you’re my energy boost . ” I said and got up out of bed to meet her halfway .

” not uh . ” she said and pushed me down back on the bed . ” you don’t have to put in any work today baby . ”

” but what if I want to … ”

” then maybe . ” she said and smirked , then got on top of me slowly . ” merry Christmas love . ”

” merry Christmas to you too . ” I replied as I was mesmerized in everything she was doing to me . " yeah . i’ll be right there . " i responded as i still laid in bed .

After our shower , we got dressed and hit the road to go to Ms. Michelle’s house . We would’ve flew but we had too many big presents for everyone that definitely wasn’t gonna fit on the plane .

” merry Christmas Tia Asia ! ” Aaliyah said as she ran to her .

” merry Christmas mamas ! ” Asia responded as she picked Aaliyah up .

” Uncle Diggyyyyy !! ” Isaiah exclaimed just super aggressively .

” Isaiaaaahhh ! ” I responded back and laughed as he ran into my arms . After it was Asia’s turn , Aaliyah ran over to me just as excited as Isaiah was .

” why do the kids love you so much ? ” she asked and laughed .

” I don’t know , ask them . ” I replied . ” why y’all love your Uncle Diggy so much ? ”

” cus he’s the bestest uncle ever ! ” they both replied .

” good job that’s what I’m talking bout . ” I smiled then gave them high fives .

” that’s why the kids ran outside like that . ” my mom laughed . ” merry Christmas baby . ”

” merry Christmas ma . ” Asia replied then kissed her on the cheek .

” merry Christmas mom . ” I said and greeted her with a hug and kiss .

All of Asia’s family was here already so they all came out to help us bring in the presents we brought .

” now it looks even more like Christmas ! Michelle you didn’t buy a big enough tree for the presents that were here and the presents asia brought . ” her uncle said and laughed .

” what took you two so long ? ” her grandma asked .

” that holiday traffic . ” I answered and shook my head .

” I thought we left early enough to avoid traffic buuuut that didn’t happen . ” Asia added .

” that holiday traffic is 24/7 . There’s no avoiding that . ” Dija said and laughed .

” well since we were waiting on y’all two then lets get started with the gifts . ” Mom said and everyone came together in the living room .

Of course the kids were the most anxious to open the presents , so the first one was given to Aaliyah . It was a present bought by me so once she saw the toy she fell in love with it and attacked me with a hug . The whole present exchange of the day was so great . Everyone loved the presents that me and Asia bought for them and I was super grateful for the presents I received from the family .

” babe . ” I said and just stared at her when I was handed a present and read who it was from .

” you’re my husband . I had to get you something come on you should’ve expected that . ” she responded and laughed a little .

” & you’re my wife so you definitely should’ve expected this . ” I said then reached for one of her presents that I got for her .

” you are not slick . ” she laughed as she took it out my hands . We opened each others presents at the same time and she screamed in joy once she saw hers . Our reactions both came out of us at the same time just in a different way , with my expression being ” yooooo ! ”

” no you did not get me the limited edition double pack Jordan retro 7’s with the shirts to match ! ” she exclaimed all in one breath .

” you got me the D&G sweaters that don’t even come out til next winter see this is another reason why I love you you stay making miracles happen . ” I said with a grin on my face .

” rich nigga shit . ” her uncle said and laughed .

" now you know if I'm rich then we all rich first of all . " she said " but yo how did you get these ? There was only 20 of these made and they sold out in like a minute what the hell "

" I have my ways . No need for questions . " I responded and laughed a little .

" baby you're the best ! " she exclaimed then kissed me .

" wait but I'm trippin off these sweaters tho . How you get these ? They're only selling next years spring collection . " I asked , confused .

" I have my ways . No need for questions . " she answered and smirked as everyone laughed .

" oh aight . " I ignorantly replied and just laughed .

We spent a few hours with them eating Christmas dinner , talking amongst each other and playing with the kids and their new toys .

" it's bout time to go now mom . We gotta catch this flight to Dig's house . " Asia said to her mom as we got up to leave .

" okay baby . Dija taking you to the airport ? "

" yeah ima come back for my car tmrw . "

" ok bye sweetheart . Thanks for stopping by to see your mama . " she smiled then kissed her . " see you soon Daniel thanks for stopping by . Tell your parents I said merry Christmas and don't forget to give them those gifts . "

" yes ma'am . " I smiled then kissed her on the cheek .

" Uncle Diggy don't leaveee ! " Isaiah said as he tugged onto me and started crying .

" hey big boys don't cry . Come here . " I said then picked him up to calm him down . " before you know it I'll be back here playing with you and your new toys . Alright ? "

" but I want you to keep playing with me right now " he pouted .

" I gotta go though kid but I'll be back I promise . Okay ? "

" alright . " he said and sniffled . Before I put him down I gave him a kiss on the forehead , then me and Asia finally left with Dija to the airport .

" what you did with Isaiah was too cute . " Asia said as we were on the jet to New York . " makes me want to have kids just so i can witness that on a daily . "

" i mean what can i say , the kids love Uncle Diggy . " i smiled . " but do you really want to have kids soon ? "

" im not sure when i want kids . i know i want some for sure tho . we're having kids . i just dont know when . not too soon tho . i kinda want to enjoy the married life without kids right now . "

" i agree with you . lets experience life with just us 2 first , then move on to expanding the Simmons name . " i responded then looked at her as she tried to look away and avoid my eyes , but that didnt last too long because of the fact that she knew i was staring so she smiled as she still looked away . " my queen . "

" huh ? "

" my queen . you are my queen . im going to start calling you that . "

" then i should return the favor and call you my king . fair ? "

" fair enough . " i smiled .

as i looked at Asia staring out the window , she really did resemble a queen to me . the whole side profile view and everything . i acted like i was on my phone but i really snuck a picture of Asia then posted it on instagram with the caption " My Queen " .

when we arrived in New York we wasted no time in getting to Dig's house .

" heeey Merry Christmas ! " Dad said when we walked in the house .

" smellin good in here ! " Dig said as the whiff of food smacked us right in the face .

" Merry Christmas dad . " i smiled and gave him a hug then he kissed me on the forehead .

we entered the living room and joined everyone else just chilling around the fire place sharing the good vibes . their welcomes were so warm and comforting . i swear i love this family .

" gift exchange ! come on everyone ! " mom said even though everyone was already in the same room together .

they had a huge Christmas tree with tons of gifts under it , so the gift exchange lasted a while .i was surprised that i actually got a good amount of presents for them and they were even gifts i liked . i dont know how he did it , but Dig already had a gift here waiting for me . he still wasnt slick tho cus i brought one of his other gifts on the plane with me .

" we're too smart for each other i swear . " he laughed then gave me a kiss cus of how happy he was with his present .

once it came time for dinner , me and Dig sorta just looked each other cus we both werent that hungry for another dinner . i mean , it had been about 5 hours since we at Christmas dinner at my moms but we werent ready for another big dinner like that . we still sat down to eat and only got a little bit of each thing to eat so it would look like we ate all the food off our plates .

we spent the rest of the day with the family and just chilled , relaxed and enjoyed each other's company on this beautiful Christmas day . i really felt like i was really a part of this family and i loved it now .
