in the books duchess hates raven because duchess has resolved to die as that’s whats told. she think that raven rebelling is incredibly selfish because she’s putting everyone at risk to get her own happily ever after, which duchess accepted she would never get at a very young age. i really liked watching them interact, they parallel one another in a way the tv show doesn’t cover. there are a lot of internal dynamics between the rebels/commoners/royals revealed in this story that the web series keeps out.

I don’t think they really bring up how horrible her story was. She was destined to die at like 22 and that the the conclusion to her story.

she never tried to steal the happy endings in ever after high either. she almost steals raven’s because she doesn’t know how terrible it really is(and grimm tricks her into it, of course) but she ends up not because she hurt her friends in the process and deep down she’s too kind to cause lasting harm on others because she’s actually very sweet just under a lot of pressure and stressed out because she is going to die in five ish years

her story gives a really good insight to how the characters interact with one another and she’s very interesting. i hate how the tv show portrayed her.

also her and lizzie are best friends and it’s really cute and there’s a lot of daring pining for lizzie but she dgaf about him

And Steven Skyler? He 10000000% knows about Jaytonio.... especially since he tagged a picture of him and Alexander Heartman with #Jaytonio

and as everyone probably knows at this point Michael Taber confirmed that he played Riley to be gay and have a crush on Chase, so he's well aware of Chiley....

but on the flip side, I don't think Milo Cawthorne or Dan Ewing know about Diggy

If there’s one consistent visual beat I hope my little pony continues to hit with every generation? It’s each generation having at least one canonical queer couple.

(Not counting g2 which sadly never got any narrative media.)

In generation one? We had Glory and Moondancer.

Who had a ceramic statue of them getting married. Both being female characters!

In generation three? We had Skywishes and Starcatcher

Who were confirmed to be queer in official pride merchandise after years of fan speculation due how romantic their dynamic felt in their film together.

In generation four? We have a few actually but by far the most iconic are Bonbon and Lyra heartstrings!

Who we get to see propose to each other and straight up get married in the background as the show goes on!

And in the latest and fifth generation? We have Sander and Diggy!

Who are a married couple with an adopted unicorn son named Ferris! The only male couple so far!

Big loves to all our queer little ponies and here’s to many more to come in future generations!
