Does it work now?

I took a short break from editing as I was asked if I could provide camera support for another Digi60 shoot taking place this week. In light of my recent camera problems, I was curious to see what would happen if I connected by Canon XHA1 to my Canon HV30 by firewire and then recorded video with the XHA1. 

Thus I shot this daily blog video : Problem Determination.

It looks like I may have had a defective tape in the case where I encountered a download problem. I now have a plan to prevent a future occurrence: duplicate recording on set.

What day is it?

Being busy is good, I mean, we only have so many days in a life time, so making the most of each an every day is important, in my humble opinion.  Lately I've been packing a whole lot into each day and I can usually detect this by way of noticing I have lost track of the day of the week.

Today was Friday, but I didn't know that without looking at a calendar.  Editing of First Ladies is progressing, the first draft is complete, now it is time to polish it. This evening I was on the set of another Digi60 production, this time in -front- of the camera.

Are we there yet?

Wow, 12 hours of auditions for my 2012 Digi60 production. So much fun meeting people who love to perform in front of a camera.  I wanted to make a compilation video but I don't have the time as I need to wake up early and go to a set location for a shoot on Sunday morning.

What is happening Uptown?

A cool day in Ottawa, the kind of day that leaves you thinking a 35 C day would be a nice change. After work I headed across town for a Digi60 Production meeting.
