They hesitate for a moment, before pulling out an odd handheld device. It looks like a v-pet of some sort...? They tap away a few buttons on it--- perhaps it's some foreign region's pokedex? An image displays on the screen after some beeps.
"Weird Meowth, Digital World... Now, there are a lot of feline Digimon, but does this maybe look like what gave you that chip thing?"
On the screen is a picture of a Gatomon.
Shin: A..gatomon....?
Shinji asked looking at the picture alongside Poni.
Pon: Well it looks like our mystery gifter for sure, If that's the case then they used a pretty good disguise.
Shin: Hm... That adds up I suppose. But why gave me a portal to the digital world?
Pon: Well you were going through it at the Magi Event. Maybe they wanted to give you something to do. A new adventure ya know? And with the way things are nowadays, I think we could use something like this!
Shinji remains silent, thinking about Poni's words.
