January sketch // Reworked sketch

Color placement // First painting pass

I am now resting my hand, that has started to tell me i should take a break, as I think of what i'll do on the detailing pass.

I'm far, far from being done with this painting.

The shadows and lights will likely need to be reworked after i'm done with the candles and add magic over Rekiev's hands, the hair can be much more detailed, the curtains can hold much more contrast. Things can be still moved around and deepened, and this is 12% zoom - i could literally zoom in enough to write things onto Rekiev's sleeves, and they'd be legible. We'll see if I do that. There is marbling to add pretty much everywhere, too, and the floor is supposed to be made of large tiles.

We're doing good ! We have a lot still to go around.
