Last Reflection
Before the work session on Tuesday 4/19, I did not know about the “Record ystem audio” feature. It’s a simple feature that I’d overlooked during my work with Camtasia. I found out about the feature after searching for it on the Techsmith FAQ page to improve the audio quality of a YouTube clip I was using.
One thing I am worried about currently is my free trial with Camtasia. Since my free trial ends tomorrow, I need to make sure that everything I have so far for my final project is saved onto my computer after tomorrow’s work session. In order to have access to Camtasia after my trial ends, I will use another email account to obtain another free 1-month trial. I have the file saved in different formats just in case an error occurs with Camtasia.
Project Reflection
Hunter and I have gotten a large portion of our project completed so I feel like we are doing very well time-wise, but we still need to be careful because Tuesday might sneak up on us quicker than we anticipated. I think as long as we continue to use our time wisely in class we should be on track to have the project completed on time. However, there are still a few issues we foresee happening. We’re having some trouble deciding on what exactly to include in the video. We have about a 4 page script written out but we don’t know if we simply want to just record our voices and then put pictures/videos or if we should actually video ourselves talking but still incorporate images at random times. We may need to experiment with both just to see which will look better for the final product. Another issue we have is with the presentation, will it be too boring to just show our entire video for the presentation time? That’s also something we’ll simply need to decide after we make the video and see what the final product looks like. Regardless I think we’ve gotten some really good information on our topic and I look forward to finishing things up and seeing how it all turns out.
Project Reflection
Evan and I thought we were getting ahead by recording our video part very early. Thank goodness we did get on it so early because the camera did not have enough space for all of the video we needed to take, and we cannot get the camera back until Monday. This will leave us with only one night to get the last little bit of footage we need and edit those into the video podcast. This will hopefully be manageable since we do not have too much footage that we still need. We are currently dedicating our time to polishing as much of the video podcast as we can at this point and making the Twine game. It is all pretty stressful, but I believe we will be able to get it all done... Or at least I hope so.
