Nights for Chyrie always played out the same way.
Firstly, it’d start with her dozing into a soft sleep; for about an hour or so, she’d get some proper rest. Her mind would let her relax that much, though not much more. Afterwards, she’d be plagued with nightmare after nightmare, tossing and turning the poor AuRa before she’d awaken to a cold sweat and tears down her face.
She could never remember the nightmares, though it was all she could put her finger on. Dreams would never cause her such anguish, would they?
Thus she’d find herself outside, walking around; she’d heard that a new mage had recently come to town, to work with the Sultana herself; that alone was no small feat, though it was her magic itself that had Chyrie intrigued.
It wasn’t based around thaumaturgy, nor around clerical arts of healing, either. And with someone new so close, she figured it’d be best to pay them a visit. After all, what if they had something that could help her sleep some more? Twelve above knew she needed it.
Thus as night turned to day and merchants started poring out onto the streets, she’d gaze around, looking for any sign of someone she didn’t recognize...
It only took a glimpse of the green robe and silver hair for Chyrie to know that they weren’t from around here, at all; even if they weren’t her quarry, she was sure that they could lead her straight to them.
Standing in front of the other’s smallish house - wasn’t this recently abandoned? Chyrie was sure that it was vacant - she’d scoff, arms folded across her chest.
“You’re the new mage that recently moved here, aren’t you? I’ve got some questions.”
Straight to the point as always, though the glare that tugged at her eyes and pulled her lips into a frown would have made her come off far more hostile than intended.
“The names Chyrie... And I’m hoping you can help me.”
