“ DOES IT EVER TALK TO YOU ? You know, destiny ? Cause I’m still not sure if I have to kill you at some point and it’s really confusing me, you know ? It doesn’t talk to me but you’re Dirk Gently and aren’t you supposed to know everything. ”

the boy was the only one they let see her anymore. they never explained why, even when she asked. and even dirk’s appearances were being limited. and the more and more infrequent visits became more heavily monitored every time. it made her feel like they expected her to hurt him ( she could never hurt him ) and it made her hate it even more. “ it’s been a month this time... “ she started / @dikgoontle
THE ROOM ENCOMPASSING THEM IS DIMLY LIT & SHE SITS UP ON THE TILED FLOOR WITH A FEIGNED GROAN , a hand coming to firmly press at forehead whilst blinking a couple of times , as if readjusting to the change in lighting . a shallow breath is released , frightened gaze frantically scanning surroundings . she knows where he is , but it’s all part of the game . so , soft voice is low , almost inaudible , when calling out .
❝ ━━━ h - hello ? is s - someone there ? ❞

it must be weird for him. you knew that, you couldn’t imagine someone you knew almost sixteen years ago being the same age as they had been. but despite the consistent oddity that he experienced in his real life, he seemed to have found some form of happiness. you might not think todd was necessarily the best friend he could have ( didn’t have the same life experiences. ) but farah and the others seemed like a more than worthy support system. “ you found it, you found what you dreamed of all those years ago. “ couldn’t help lips curving upwards as she glanced towards him. “ i always knew that you’d find it. you had so much hope. “ / @dikgoontle
❛ this is all i know how to do: carry loss around until i begin to resemble every bad memory, every terrible fear, every nightmare anyone has ever had. ❜
you understood, you really did. that is why you offered hand to him, allowing him the choice of touch or not. but your words were still going to come, whether he happened to want to hear them or not. “ i know. i understand & it sucks, “ you commented. “ but that is what they wanted us to feel like. because if you think you’re a monster, you stop fighting. & you know what they always wanted us to do ? stop fighting. everyone in there had the abilities to do remarkable things, & i worked it out years ago, they wanted me to change the tide of wars. a naturally destructive force; and couldn’t be traced back to them. but this is why i am telling you, loss is not your fault. energy is a circle; they’re visibly gone, but energy cannot be destroyed. & so you have to trust me when i say let go of your blame. let their energy be transferred elsewhere. “
Are they afraid of death? Do they have any regrets?
truthfully, aella is not at all scared of death. i think she’s thought about it, and where she doesn’t know much about her ability, she knows intuitively even if something happens to her physically; something of her would continue to exist. through this knowledge, she is mostly unconcerned with the idea of death. perhaps the only thing she would miss about having a physical form would be interactions with her friends ( namely: dirk ) i think that she would almost certainly want to be the last person to go. and as for regrets, i don’t think she has many. she lived her life to the best of her ability, especially considering lack of opportunity until she was almost seventeen. & due to lack of education she was severely limited in that respect, but i think no matter what else she might have wanted to have done, she was happy with the life she lived.
@dikgoontle: can dirk take him on an adventure
please try he’s all sad and immortal.
