Sidenote: I don't get why don't curiosity hit certain people?! Like you don't want to know how and why certain states are the way they are ( especially the big ones) .

no, it’s something specific to texas. so as much as they want to pretend that the people of texas itself are unaware of the bad shit this state has done, we fucking know. it fucking sucks.

i think the problem is that other states don’t learn about other states, as you said, unless we’re learning about US History as a whole and specific things are mentioned about certain states if deemed important to the whole of US history. so then you have people going “UGH LOOK HOW THEY KEEP US FROM THE TRUTH” and I’m like. no. No I learned that. what school did You go to.

and yeah!!! i also don’t expect schools to teach me EVERYTHING I mean goddamn. you want to learn? fucking learn. read books, look shit up yourself. but honestly I’m kind of getting tired of seeing people blame schools for this. you have a responsibility of your own to educate yourself as well. if you care enough, fucking do it, ya know??
