@diligentsam He was trying like hell to get the fire started -or make it seem like he was. He'd been going over and over this plan for an entire year, sure every fold and wrinkle was ironed -after all a teeny mistake could fuck his entire plan into the floor. Then where would these ignorant, self obsessed, COCKSUCKERS get their well deserved slap on the wrist? GOD knows the UNIVERSE ain't gonna dish shit. They deserve this, he heard someone say over his shoulder and he hummed to drown it out. They deserve this, Josh. Another voice -a voice he knew. A voice he knew to ignore. They deserve this. They deserve it. DON'T IGNORE US! he whirled around as the voices screeched in his ears, heart racing only to see Jessica and Emily bickering. Oh how ironic, the bitches were besties back when Hannah and Beth were alive. Maybe he'd get lucky and they'd fight. Or kill each other. Hannah said from the arm of the couch, face a black blur. There but not there. Then- gone. "Guys, guys, come on!" He shouted, breaking up the fight that erupted, first between the girls then between the guys. "This isn't what I wanted! This-this isn't helping." He silenced everyone, feeling himself knot and twist inside and choke. It wasn't helping. They were ruining it. They were ruining everything. But...not completely. Not yet. "Hey man," he stepped forward, closing the gap between him and Mike. "Why don't you and Jess go to that cabin I told you about." He offered, hoping he'd take the bait. When they did and left he shook his head making his way back to the fireplace. It added a slight change to his plans, nothing he couldn't deal with however. He ignore the petty shitty bickering by perhaps the two least compatible people in the world and prayed they'd fuck out soon. It reminded him too much of his parents. Too much arguing now, he preferred it when they refused to come home. You forgot something. A voice whispered, making him freeze. He forgot something? What'd he forget? "The cabin's locked." He muttered. Pulling back he patted around in his pockets before stopping on the keys. Standing he ran for the door, flinging it open. "Hey pornstars!" He shouted before they got too far away. "Gonna need these." "Pornstars?" Jess asked, looking at him confused. "I'd pay to see it." He admitted tossing Jess the keys. "Uh, gross?" Jess replied, but he could see the smile on her face. "Hey, sorry to kick you out like that." He apologized, mind silently working over what Jess would look like stripped clean and covered in snowflakes. It was like a work of art. "No worries, man." Mike replied letting him know it was alright. So Josh smiled, looking at Jess as he nodded his head. "Oh I'm sure you'll find a way to entertain yourselves." He almost winked but held himself back. He had bigger things to focus on. "Mmhm," Jess bounced a little as she shifted her weight, hips swaying as she did almost making Josh change his mind of the whole thing. Taking Jess up to the cabin himself. "You have fun with the peanut gallery." She added as she turned. Chuckling he motioned a sneak preview of his plan, like a foreshadow to a part of a movie they wouldn't guess and he couldn't help but laugh about it as he stepped back. "Oh! I almost forgot," he stopped himself, pulling himself from his withheld joy to warn them. "Gotta fire up the generator so you can see where you're going. It gets dark up there." He turned and made his way back inside, walking back to the fireplace. He'd taken up enough time. It was time to put things in motion. He tinkered with the fireplace for only a few more moments before realizing only two pieces were in place. Where was Sam? "Sammy!" He hollered, knowing she couldn't have gone far. She never did. She was too predictable. And now all he had to do was wait for an answer.
