If There's A Alternate Ending to A Shocker on Shock Street, The Duo are Reformed.
here’s how i think lane kim’s story should’ve gone
first of all, let’s go back to when Rory was in Washington. During this time, i think a cool thing would’ve been if for the first couple-ish days Jess goes to bug Lane about Rory. however, he realises that Lane is actually pretty cool and they become fast friends, bonding over their shared taste in music and the like.
my main point is this though; at some point during the band’s tenure, just before or just after Lane and Zach start dating, Dave comes back. because of this there’s an issue within the band of what Gil should do but he quickly steps back and says Dave should be guitarist again and suggests that he instead becomes the band’s manager. The band agrees INSTANTLY, they get to keep Dave AND Gil!?!?! because Gil is focusing more on furthering the band, they quickly get more gigs whether that’s openers for other artists or small gigs in bars.
meanwhile, if you want drama added, there could a live triangle between Lane, Zach and, Dave. with Lane and Zach ultimately realising they’re better as friends and bandmates and Lane and Dave start dating.
eventually, at some point near the end of season 5 or start of season 6, Gil manages to get the band a gig opening for a big band like The White Stripes or another band of similar popularity. so, the band leaves to do their opening shows and quickly get a record deal, Gil gets to play still while they record their debut album and Hep Alien steadily becomes a household name, if we want to argue realism then we can have it so that Hep Alien is only really popular in Connecticut.
maybe the band’s main conflict in season 7 is about creative liberties within the record deal or their own creative differences about songs but that would all be quickly resolved because hello Gil would be a good band dad.
anyway, by the end of the show, the band would be popular and Lane would get to be happy, and the band definitely moves to New York. i wouldn’t say that she and Dave get married at this point, i’d say that they’re just taking it steady and enjoying their relationship. ALSO, Mrs Kim would be much more supportive of Dave than she was Zach so there wouldn’t be any added and unneeded tension between her and Lane.
Hear Me Out...
What if Jax realized that if he abstracted, he'd be putting everyone else in danger? What if he decided to end it a different way? What if he decided to fall into the void? What if he bumped into Caine? How would the events play out after that?
Please tell me I'm not crazy for thinking about this way too much.
Are there any links to fics on Ao3 about an alternate ending to Spider-Man Homecoming, where Peter Parker agrees to becoming an avenger and Tony Stark gives him the new suit and they go into the press conference, and then continues from there?
Does anyone have any other recs?

Summum Desiderium Meum
(A Note {spoilers}: this fic is an alternate reality to the movie where instead of killing Titus, Grace went through with the wedding for real)
CHAPTER 1:
Lavinia slipped out of the chamber after witnessing the wedding between Titus and Grace. She simply couldn’t stomach spending another moment in there celebrating and worshipping. Not when every part of her was screaming on the inside. How long had she loved him in silence? How long had she wished for a wedding of her own, with him standing beside her? And now this outsider had what she had prayed would be hers one day. It was enough to make her want to vomit up the meal she had eaten while inside the viewing room when the hunt had still been on.
She made her way back to the room she had been given in the house when they had decided that this would be ending with a wedding instead of death. And she had locked herself in before collapsing into the bed. It wasn’t like anyone would miss her anyway. Her older brother had barely noticed her leaving his side, let alone anyone else.
Of course, Titus had no idea how she felt about him. After all, she was nearly twenty years his junior. And while they knew each other well, she had never had the courage to voice her feelings for the older man. The daughter of one of the elite families that were involved in all this, she had been in the viewing room with the rest of the members of the families, while her older brother had joined the hunt. And the entire time she had been not only praying that her brother would survive this madness, but that Titus would as well. But she hadn’t imagined this being the way that he ended the hunt.
With a sigh, she curled up more in the blankets and allowed her emotions to take over, sobbing into her pillow until she fell asleep. And she slept soundly for some time, before being woken by a pounding on the door of her room.
She groaned as she pulled herself from the bed and made her way to the door.
“Maksim, is it really necessary to bang on the door this lo-” her voice cut off as she opened the door and found not her brother standing there, but Titus.
“You left the wedding.”
She wrapped her arms around her chest, frowning.
“I stayed for the ceremony, I just… wasn’t feeling well,” she said, “is there something that you need Titus?”
His eyes flashed, his expression changing to one that she couldn’t interpret.
“Why did you really leave?” he asked.
“I just told you I didn-”
“Don’t lie to me, Lavinia. I saw the look on your face when you left. It wasn’t an expression of someone who felt ill. You looked angry. Almost, jealous.”
Her eyes widened at his correct observation. She had thought that he hadn’t even noticed her in the crowd. That no one had noticed her leaving, save for Maksim. What could she even say now?
“Lavinia-” he started again, his tone getting more aggressive.
He wasn’t going to accept anything but the truth. And hell, if that didn’t make her more attracted to the man.
“You’re right,” she cut him off before he could continue, “I was jealous. I am jealous that that girl gets to marry you when I…” She couldn’t get the words out.
“When you what?”
He moved closer, pushing up into her space, and she took a step back.
“When I have wanted you for nearly a decade!”
The words spilled from her lips, and her hand flew to her mouth in shock. How long had she held it inside? How long had it festered before she had finally been made to say it? And why was that smug expression, that cocky smirk, suddenly on his face? Before she had the chance to ask or dissect the situation further, he was moving into her space again, forcing her to walk backwards into her room, and allowing him to enter. He shut the door behind him, and she heard the lock click into place.
“Titus… I…”
“Say it again, Livvy,” he said, as he continued to invade her space until he was standing so close that she had to look up to hold his gaze.
“Say what?”
“That. You. Want. Me.”
“I don’t understand… You… You just got married.”
“I married to gain the seat. There is nothing between that girl and me. Now, say it again.”
Her mind was racing, but this time she didn’t question. Just did what she was told.
“I want you.”
The words were barely above a whisper, but he heard her. And the next thing she knew, he was grabbing her head in his hands, and his lips were crashing against hers. Her own hands moved to his chest on instinct, gripping at his shirt. His tongue pressed against her lips, demanding entry, and she gave it, kissing him back almost desperately. The kiss went on like this for what felt like ages before he pulled back.
“Be my mistress.”
It wasn’t a question, it was an order. And part of her hated that that was all he could give her. But she also didn’t think she could try to oppose him on it. She wanted too much.
“Are you planning to share her bed?”
She had to ask, had to know. And the look he gave her was all the answer she needed, and she could feel the tears from earlier threatening to return.
“Shhhhh…” his thumbs brushed against the corner of her eyes, “I need an heir Livvy, that’s the only reason.”
That didn’t mean that she had to like it. And she certainly didn’t. But she knew that even with this knowledge, there was no way she could tell him no.
“Alright,” she acquiesced, “I’ll be your mistress.”
____________________________________________________________________
She woke up a few hours later, still tightly held in his arms, and attempted to pull free to use the bathroom, but he pulled her back against him.
“You’re not leaving.”
“I just need to use the bathroom,” she said, “I’ll be right back.”
He begrudgingly let her go. And she made sure to be quick, making her way back to the bed as soon as she was done. And he pulled her back into his arms immediately.
“I was only gone a few moments,” she said as he held her tightly against him.
“A few moments too long. I don’t intend to let you leave this bed for anything but the bathroom until morning.”
Something occurred to her then, weighing on her mind.
“Why now?”
“What?” he asked.
“Why now? If you noticed my facial expressions and could decipher them, that means you’ve watched me enough to know them, which leads me to believe that you wanted me before tonight. So why now, Titus? Why make me go on thinking that you didn’t want me until the night of your impromptu wedding to show up at my door?”
“Because until tonight, I didn’t realize you wanted me as well, Lavinia.”
So she had been hiding it well. At least, she had until tonight. She supposed that made sense. She had been so shocked by the wedding that all her guards had gone down, And she had just let herself feel everything.
“So, what happens after tonight? What happens when everyone leaves?”
“You’re not going anywhere.”
“So then what? Are you just going to keep me in the same house as your wife? Don’t you realize how difficult that will be for me?”
“I told you, she means nothing.”
“It doesn’t matter how many times you say that it won’t change how much I hate that you married that girl. I didn’t want to be a mistress, Titus.”
“You agreed to be just a few hours ago, Livvy.”
“I agreed because it's the only way I can be with you now,” she murmured as he held her a bit tighter, “and there’s no part of me that can even think about saying no to having even a piece of you.”
“I want you to stay here with me. If you go with everyone else, I won’t have the access to you that I want.”
“You act like I’d be going far. I didn’t travel as far to get here as the other families. Our parents’ home is only a short drive away, and you know that.”
His lips moved to the nape of her neck, pressing a kiss against her skin.
“That’s still too far,” he whispered in her ear, “I want to be able to see you when I want to. If you live here, that won’t be a problem.”
She frowned a little.
“I am not just going to be at your beck and call Titus Danforth. I have a life of my own.”
“I didn’t say at my beck and call, I simply said easier access. Please just stop arguing, this is getting old rather fast, Livvy.”
She weighed her options. Weighing whether she could handle living in the same home as Grace Danforth. She didn’t like the idea. But she supposed it was doable. After all, this was a large estate, with both the manor and the hotel. She didn’t have to spend time with the other woman, did she? She assumed not.
“Alright,” she replied, “I’ll stay.

Alternate ending for
Project Hail Mary
-- the book, I haven't seen the movie yet.
ok wait also now that im not doing this ending i can talk about it! one of the mask alternate endings under the cut!
one of the endings i came up with (i call it ALT 1), is basically like the reader was kidnapped and then her kidnapper just keeps saying he's protecting her, like he swears this is for her own good. they're constanty on the move and the reader starts leaving behind breadcrumbs for Gator, but every time Gator gets close, he's just barely too late. eventually reader and kidnapper end up in a remote cabin, and the kidnapper is acting completely insane, squirrely, paranoid. he's constantly looking out the window and saying "they're close, they're watching" but the reader is like 'what the fuck' and uses the chaos as a means to escape. she ends up running through the woods in a snowstorm (its december at this point), she's injured, exhausted, half-starved, and worried that she can hear someone running close behind her. eventually she runs onto a road and a deputy finds her, calls it in, and Gator is like in complete shock, he almost doesn't believe its true. then he goes to them and reader is wrapped in a blanket in the back of an ambulance, its a very sweet reunion like awwww yay, all is right in the world again! but then she's retracing her steps back to the cabin, and when they get there its completely empty, no kidnapper, no crazy newspaper clippings and NO evidence, just an empty cabin. everyone is super confused (obviously). then one day life kinda goes back to normal, reader returns to work and her life BUT she starts noticing things: a parked car that appears too often, the jack skellington symbol appearing in random places, strange hang-up calls, footsteps outside at night. But nobody else sees them and nobody can prove they're real (even Gator unfortunately). they end up finding out that there's a network of stalkers that use the mask as a symbol and the original kidnapper is dead and gone, but someone is still out there watching her. ok then MONTHS later, reader and Gator are happy and yay everything is good (wrong!), until one night reader wakes up in the middle of the night becuase it feels like someones watching her and then on the glass of the bedroom window, there's a jack skellington drawning taped from the outside of the house.
THE END!
im actually really glad i didnt use that bc i woudlve been so upset at myself lmao! but i really liked wriitng the scary/suspense/angst of it, i might try and brainstorm a different story to use an idea like this
