I’ve rewatched “Star VS The Forces of Evil” episodes 16-17 season 2. In the first part of the first episode, Star is taking some kind of an exam the result, of which is to show if she has to go back to Mewni. Well, she almost fails but finally passes and the examiner tells her mother that she has powers comparable to Eclipsa’s. The second part is a very interesting one – it’s about Marco earning his own interdimensional scissors. By running through different dimensions chasing Hekapoo’s (she’s a member of Magic High Commission) clones (she was the real owner of “Star’s” scissors) for sixteen years. On Earth, at the time only a few minutes have passed. The first part of the second episode shows us some time paradoxes – Star has to solve a math problem to save time-space continuum. In the last part, Star and Pony-Head want to save their favourite partying place, fail but still have fun trying.

From age 11 up until she got the wand (14), Rosaline's life was in a dark place, having to deal with the grief of losing a sister (with no explanation) and the intense pressure of suddenly becoming heir to the Mewni throne. 

As a form of escapism, she'd often dimension-hop. It was typically at night, and she returned in the morning. Hekapoo eventually stopped her, and to make up for it she (along with Omni) crafted a special magical mirror for Rosaline. More info about this will be provided....eventually lol
