Closed Christmas Ball Starter with @dimensional-duo
The Christmas Ball was here, and L and the rest of the family opted to get ready for the ball inside of the castle. He felt like he kept messing up his tie at this point, not able to get it exactly how he wanted it. Frustrated, he stepped out of his room to find his mama, seeing her fussing with Mario's tie already.
"Tesoro, hold still! If you keep fidgeting like that I'm going to have to do it again," their Mama scolds the eldest, making him laugh and finally seem to try and quit moving around.
"Sorry, Mama," Mario replies, watching her as she finishes up with his tie, much nicer than what he had done earlier. He then takes her hands and leans up to press a kiss to her cheek. "You're the best~"
"Si, I already know~" she replies teasingly before bringing him back over for a hug and pressing little kisses to his cheek. "See, and now you look so handsome, fit for a a royal Princess~"
"Mama!"
"Oh hush!" She playfully waves off his complaint, turning around and seeing that another one of her children was struggling with their tie. She lets out a huff of frustration as she walks up to Luciano, already undoing his tie and getting to work without him even asking.
"Luci, you're killing me! You break your mama's heart, what in the world are you doing?" she asks him as she works on tying up his tie correctly, shaking her head. "Honestly, what do you do when I'm not here?"
"Don't go to these events?" L replies jokingly with a smile, making her give a glare as she meets his eyes, but there still remained that loving, amusement in her eyes. "No, Peach and Rosa usually help."
"Both you and Mario both got your tie tying skills from your father, it's the only explanation," she sighs before pulling the knot up and readjusting his vest and such before cupping his cheek. "There. But, Mama can always fix it~"
"Grazie, Mama," he replies, giving her a kiss to her cheek as well. "We could never do it without you."
"Oh, tell me something I don't know," she teases kissing his cheek multiple times in response before then moving to fuss with his hair next. "Oh, my three boys... all so handsome and grown up..." She then looks around a moment before leaning in closer to whisper to him.
"Just relax, okay? It's one night. I know these events are hard for you, but just remember your breathing... And don't overthink the dance, okay? We practiced and practiced, you're more than prepared. Just have fun." The mechanic nods and smiles at her when he heard her words.
"Okay, Mama... thank you."
Meanwhile, Princess Peach and Rosalina were finishing up with getting ready, the cosmic Princess helping to lace up the corset of the pink one's ballgown. Rosalina has to stop a moment and put a hand on Peach's shoulder to get her to still before gently adjusting her posture then finishing with the corset before smiling at her.
"You and Mario both get this nervous excited energy while you're getting ready... Can neither of you keep still? What if you have kids, they'll never stop moving!" Rosa teases while Peach blushes and smacks her shoulder and glaring.
"Oh hush! And just so you know, our kids may not stop moving, but they'll be the most precious little bundles of energy!" she replies with a pout, crossing her arms. Rosalina laughs softly and nods in agreement.
"You're not wrong," she agrees before looking towards the the closed door of the attached bedroom next door. "Dimmy, are you almost ready, sweetheart?"
