Cutting it a little under the Wire but Happy Birthday Dine~! Celebrating with a nice little dinner date with Nao!
Judging you.
Dine probably has a bad habit of picking apart movies and things for plot holes and tactical things the characters should have done better. He stays quiet until the end and Nao turns to him all starey eyed from a good movie, sees his disgusted face and quickly covers her ears shouting at him not to ruin the story.
Day 29:
Would they be more likely to act for the good of one or the good of many? Depends on the one. He's actually more likely to act on the good of many, not much for favoritism or selfishness but also weighing like how much good to how much good. Like if he can choose one thing that only minorly helps many, or something that majorly helps one and can then be used to push forward and help many he'd likely choose the one if he trusted them. He thinks things that far through. Then there's also Freya > Everyone else. Are they manipulative? Yep. More then most realize. He wasn't originally by nature, but Home has conditioned him to be able to think all the possible outcomes even in people's reactions. He's become able to manipulate very easily. It comes second nature now. He manipulates in small and simple ways, but usually doesn't care too much about it all and would rather just shout. On mission of course, he knows how to work a target. Choose a holiday and come up with a potential scenario involving your character and that holiday.
Uhm...Dimensional New Year? Home celebrates it each year with a small gathering. Dine usually misses it! If he's on a long term assignment then he won't be called back and be expected to pass it however suits his cover. If he is Home, then it's a nice banquet that's a bit like Christmas. They combine with the solstice, so gifts are exchanged if that's the type of person involved. Dine usually just gets who gets for him in a sense of duty, picking up things on his travels. Yan gifts a bunch, but since Dine isn't always there he sometimes forgets him and then sobs if Dine got him something and he won't give him it in exchange for nothing. So they're pretty flippant but he does get something small for Neyzu each year in exchange for the ribbon he gives each Arma member. Naomi too since she gets him stupid kid trinkets pre-dating. Shin's too unpredictable to bother with. Ceci also gives everyone something so he gives his present to her to Yan in advance so he can accept hers later and flee as quickly as possible. When it's late, and he finds it left in his house from one of the maids, he leaves it with Freya appropriately. He ignores gifts from Sal and everyone else isn't the type.
The actual holiday is celebrated on the new day versus the eve into it. It carries from late afternoon into the late evening with a dinner and such just for the Arma and Freya. Icarus occasionally stops in just to pay his respects since Freya does not normally show herself that day except there. While I offer May 29th as her seasonal birthday, she does not celebrate a dimensional birthday as others do, and the New Year serves slightly as such, at least in her expectation of everything going right, being about her, etc. The god host is always introduced formally on this day. It is her holy day and she likes the company it brings.
So, if Dine's about Home he'll take part in the socialization and bounce about, Usa will try to set him on fire, Shin and Yan will toast their lost bets about him dying years ago, listen to Thrice's lengthy rambles, relax with Neyzu and later days Zyere, and of course, give time to Freya. It's usually a nice event, and with Freya there, the friction is more entertaining then threatening.
Day 28:
Do they value faith over reason or vice versa? Reason by far. He does have faith based on reason. Faith in people and other different things that provide more value then things he can see point blank in front of him. He reads between the lines and focuses on the many outcomes and he relies on that a lot. He expects people to have faith in him when they can't necessarily see where he's trying to go with things, as he will with others that deserve it. Faith based on reason and actions and fact is the best kind. Do they believe in an afterlife? Afterlife is cannon for my verse. It exists. Does he care about it? Not really. He's got too much trouble dealing with his current life then to think much on an after life. Do they have any habits that reflect their beliefs? (Ex. regular prayer, vegetarianism, etc.) Eternal devotion to Freya? Freya is the closest thing to a god to the Arma spirits, and the hosts connection to them makes it pretty much to them. To that extent he had utmost loyalty to her and will no pause in carrying out any of her requests. Other then that, nah. Do they respect the beliefs of others? To an extent. He will support a man's complete babble he knows for fact isn't true if it is something that gives the man comfort and hurts no one else. Opinions and beliefs on matters that aren't proven he certainly respects, though doesn't necessarily condone actions made on unproven points. He likes logic, and does accept the logic of believing this comforts me. If it discomforts others, then he doesn't mind discomforting you about it but other wise, meh.
Day 17:
Do they have any particular fetishes or kinks? Like in the fantasies he does like to be dommed in pretty simplistic ways. Being ordered around, orgasm deprevation, being tied up, basic control stuff. He's not actually interested in any of the pain aspects though since it doesn't do much to him good or bad after everything. He's also a fan of bizarre positions if they work (which depends on him and his partner haha). What’s the strangest thing they’ve ever done in bed? ...Damn this question. Strange is pretty relative and Dine has definitely done a number of whacky things with his "try it once" attitude. Strangest to him...was probably the one girlfriend who likes to dress him in odd costumes but even then he's kind of like shrugging. Doesn't really get it, doesn't really mind it. Is there anything in particular that they won’t do? Anything lacking consent. He's actually big on the experimentation and extremely open after growing up with literally no "this is wrong" stuff on the sex. If there's consent, and it feels nice, w00t. There are some things he doesn't really like but he could probably be talked into trying it with slight changes that could reasonably make it better for him so...Pretty much no. What are they attracted to in a partner? He's a bit of a pig. He really just likes women, and attraction is often just their interest in him. He's not huge on one type and has been in serious relationships with all sorts. After interest though I guess is compatibility and personality. How they mesh in bed, how the person deals with him and makes him feel to be around. Those kind of connections keep him attracted and bring him back. Outgoing, strong willed, stubborn women who are not insensitive or cold. Women with heart that can whip him into shape and smack him for being grumpy and tell him to shut up already. Women that can be hurt by him but will be direct about it. Someone open and willing to communicate that he likes being around, likes touching, just likes. And that's also why he ends up in so many relationships, because these strong willed ladies he's very attracted to are just like "mine" and he's like "uh, okay."

Day 15:
Who is their closest friend, and why? What do they like to do with this person? Dine has still never had a “best” friend. He’s never gotten completely over his early inspired trust issues. While time goes by he ends up with a lot of people he trusts for certain things, even a lot of certain things, a lot of people he would consider friends there’s never been anyone who’s really been there for him, and stuck with him. That’s in part Home’s fault really, and the truth is Home don’t bring in many of the types that would be happy to be his bestie. He values his relationships with the Arma but they remain complicated ones! Do they have any rivals? Who and why? Yan. -waves fist- And Shin. Sometimes Eve. Whole Arma in their own ways. He likes challenging himself and there’s always areas others will be better then him at that he’ll use to motivate himself. He does not really admire many people, seeing flaws very clearly, but there are many he consider his better, equal, or could be equal. Have they ever been betrayed? By who, and how did it affect them? Who hasn’t been betrayed? No where really dramatically, or at least that he considers betrayal. He’s really clear headed, so even when Yan turns on Home he’s kinda like that’s him, and I can get in his shoes to be honest. So he’s actually been betrayed a lot, but none he couldn’t rationalize, and as I said, he’s never gotten full trust for people. Like he’s not paranoid, but he does expect the worst from everyone. In ways, it comes back to when he was a kid, and he should have expected his family to turn on him but he didn’t and it cost him. He keeps an expect the worst, hope for the best mindset and does get in trouble when he acts under those expectations and people consider him an asshole.
Day 14:
Do they, or have they in the past, had a mentor? What was their relationship with this person, and how has it changed since then? He had his mother, which deteriorated completely. She saw him as a worthy pawn but too moral, and once he fell to be the role of peanut, took on her task of mutilating and destroying him. Dine would also never say this publicly, but he DEFINITELY used Yan as a mentor. He looked up to Yan greatly from the start and looked to his actions and advice on how to live and manage. He realized a bit quickly, Yan is himself, and he couldn’t mimic it, though he still took a lot from him, even more after Fayte left and Yan settled down and showed himself to be even more admirable. Yan openly looks down on him but is fond enough and shows him more respect then he does Zyere at least. When it comes to a mentor of people, Dine uses Shin. A lot of people use Shin to understand people and emotions. We’re not sure why. They’re very good friends. He’s had a lot of other people go in and out of his life that he’s found really inspiring and helpful, but no one else has stuck in his life.
What sort of education have they had? Do they want more? Dine's education is pretty vast. Teaching starts from a very young age with his family, a very thoughtful planned out mindset meddled into learning just to talk. They're very into understanding the psychology and finding ways to put lessons into everything, even if they're very small, and get the kid interested in what they need to be interested in. Since he liked building things they carefully built him up in that and so forth. He also had advanced history lessons, fighting, a lot of crap that would benefit the family. When he was made the peanut, he was removed from all that and is only lessons were in physical and mental endurance. He was actually taught to do a lot of things that are useful to him now in his work for Home, but are much better ways to be taught. When he got into Home the offered him lessons in anything. He didn't accept at first, taking only what he needed to learn for the tasks they set for him but he slowly expanded back into reading and he's learned about a ton of things under different mentors of the come and go type. He's sat in class settings mostly for missions since Home has the means for one on one education in everything and he takes advantage of it. In his older life, post Cecilia's entering, he tends to learn more on his own, or getting teachers from his own connections, using things more as hobbies but there's occassionally something for work he seeks their help in. He's pretty relaxed about it and just likes tinkering and learning so, pretty much always wants more, yeah.
Who was their idol growing up? Who was the first person they fantasized about? His older brother. He was super cool seemingly. (Then Yan who is also super cool SEEMINGLY.) He also looked up to a lot historical figures, all fictional my verse people who I don’t even care about naming, he was exposed to at the time, think like fantasy Napoleon haha oh! Shinde Goen too. Puberty struck a bit late for him as his absent minded fantasies about defeating her in a military assault got a bit more kinky. She’s pretty hot. He’s very apologetic.
