     the waitstaff fills up their mugs as the sun starts to set over yangwon’s fields and the cold weather begins to deliver frost to every surface of the small city. areum is thankful for the warmth of the diner and the chance to meet with a friend and fellow aspiring educator. there’s not many people who enjoy working with children enough to call it their career, so eunki is definitely someone she enjoys company from. 

      areum’s hands curl around the mug as she looks over to eunki, offering a small smile. “ i don’t have any real ‘troublemakers’ this year, ” she says thinking about her currently classes at the public school before she picks up the menu to try to figure out what she’s in the mood for. “ i still can’t decide if the younger or older kids are harder to deal with. i suppose they both have their challenges. you like the younger ones though, right ? ”
