You can enjoy the comfort of a classic diner burger at home. This recipe makes a burger with all the classic toppings that is juicy and full of flavor.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of American cheese. Lettuce leaves. Sliced tomatoes. Sliced onions. Ketchup and mustard, for topping.
Instructions: Shape the ground beef into 4 burger patties that are all the same size. On both sides, season the patties with salt and pepper. Warm up a grill or griddle on the stove over medium-high heat. For medium-rare, put the burger patties on the grill and cook for three to four minutes on each side. You can cook them longer if you want to. Add a slice of American cheese to each patty and let it melt in the last minute of cooking. On the grill, toast the hamburger buns until they get a little brown. Place lettuce, tomato slices, and onions on the bottom half of each bun to make the burgers. Then, add ketchup and mustard to taste and top with a patty that has cheese on top. Place the other half of the bun on top and serve right away.
