           thin fingers dig into equally-thin upper arms, gasping in a cry. oh, she hated this. letting the dead know they won. she’s hardly in control of her own self; if she didn’t keep her fingernails so short, she’d likely be drawing blood from her arms. her tears are hot + stinging, heavy even from behind her glasses. though she keeps her distance, she feels a chill + jolts away from it. a childish wail escapes from her, + she sinks to her knees. the nightmares always beat her. she can try + try; she finally works up a resistance to them; they come back full force + somehow stronger. 

           her breathing is shallow, swift, + ragged. (it had been october again. it had been robert, worse than she remembered, bulbous + half-rotted + stinking. it’d been months. she could still feel his nearly solid calloused fingers nearly crushing her throat.) “i -- i-i-i t-t-tr-ried-d -- t-to t-t-t-tell-l h-him -- sh-sh-she’s-s n-n-not-t m-m-me, i-i’m n-not c-ca --” annette erupts into another bout of sobs.

BC IM SUPER INSPIRED RN I had the funniest/dumbest idea of giving Trixi a guardian angel who wants him to do something good so bad but it is a NIGHTMARE
