If I had a nickel for every time Star Wars had a secretive loner man with a found family and huge brown eyes who makes friends with an reprogrammed combat droid and gives him new purpose, though ultimately the droid dies protecting the man, I’d have two nickels.
Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
