Medical yapping below the cut

I started a new med this morning to help with some medically necessary weight loss (my cholesterol is through the roof and my metabolism just doesn’t exist anymore apparently)

It’s a stimulant, kind of similar to what people get to treat ADHD symptoms, and guess who has a quiet brain for the first time ever?

I got so much done today and I didn’t hate doing any of it. I cooked a healthy breakfast, showered, went out and did a painting thing with my coworkers, came home and went for a mile walk, did laundry, and I still have like an entire second half of the day left????? And I still have energy?????

I think what really stood out is on my way to and from the painting thing, I put on music and didn’t skip songs every 30 seconds like I usually do. I listened to them all. I never do that. And now I’m home on the couch cooling off from my walk and I’m content to look at just my phone. I didn’t turn the tv on, I didn’t feel like I needed to snack on anything, absolutely wild. Usually I crave like 5 different sources of stimulation at once to feel comfortable.
