⛤Centering and Grounding⛤
⛤Centering
Definition 1: A term used to describe the practice of collecting together our energy. It is gathered into a central point from which we can then direct it into objects and release it into the universe with our spellwork.
Definition 2: Centering can also be used to describe the act of “focusing” on balancing your energies. The technique of centering is utilized to regain balance of energy that is vital for magical practice.
⛤Centering Methods
To gather your energy into a central point:
Visualize your energy coming to a central point (your hands, your chest, your feet, etc).
If you are unable to visualize, focus on the vibrational humming of the energy within your body. Feel it coming to a central point (as listed above).
⛤Methods for balancing your energies:
Visualize the core of your body flushing out negative or unnecessary energy/space. Such as black orbs attached to yourself floating away- and that “negative” space being replaced with white or blue light. (There are many types of visualization techniques to try).
Try all sorts of breathing exercises that calm you down or give you a moment of serenity.
Take a warm bath or shower with candles, incense, crystals, tea, epsom salts, or whatever to bring you to an ultimate awakened state.
Meditate either in a traditional sense or with any activity that allows you to be in touch with yourself and your own space.
⛤Grounding
This term is used to describe the ability to connect our energy to the energy of the earth. The Earth’s energy is neutral therefore grounding allows us to draw on neutral energy that we can then adapt and put towards whatever intention we are performing with our spellwork.
⛤We use grounding to:
1. To release excess or negative energy
2. To form an energetic or spiritual connection to the earth
3. To prepare for any magical working
4. To rejuvenate or recycle your energy
5. Gets you in the mood (as it were) for a magical working
6. Prepares you to pull energy from the earth or to raise energy.
⛤Benefits of Grounding
Grounding can help to:
Reduce Cortisol
Increase energy
Increase healing speed
Decrease pain
Restore balance to the body

Visualize roots coming from your feet and growing down into the earth.
Feel the energy moving from your feet into the earth.
Meditate!
Hold crystals of your choice and allow them to absorb any excess energy
Take a nice bath or shower
