A taste of L.A.
So far our dining experiences in L.A. have run the gamut from the deliciously sloppy Double-Double at the iconic In-N-Out, to the trendy soup dumplings at Din Tai Fung.
(At Din Tai Fung you can stand outside the window (bottom photo) and watch the dumpling-builders at work; I'm not sure that would be such a great idea at In-N-Out).
As for In-N-Out ... After we ate there, son Benjamin asked us if we had ordered our burgers "animal style." Apparently it's part of the "secret menu" known to In-N-Out insiders. It includes grilled onions and a few other extra flourishes. Same price.
