Just finished a trial of Marley Spoon. We had a two person plan, and we ordered a Goan beef curry with zucchini, peas and steamed rice, teriyake chicken with a creamy cucumber and avocado salad and seasoned rice, and a chermoula dry rub steak, with steamed carrot and green beans covered in a feta vinaigrette.
Here are a couple photo's.

I personally thought it was a bit ridiculous that you still had to supply some ingredients like oil, and soy sauce, for the price you'd pay I'd expect the kits to include literally everything. Ordering two beef meals definitely influenced the rating because the meat was tough. Although nothing we ate tasted bad, it wasn't "restaurant quality" as many meal subscriptions are purported to be, however there was definitely nothing left boring and unseasoned. It was super easy to create much more fancy dinners than we'd normally make, and the ingredients were usually good quality, although I'd definitely say not to order red meat & our avocado wasn't ripe to eat unlike everything else we ordered. It introduced me to ideas and ingredients I'd never used before which was enjoyable for me as the main cook in our household. I thought it was pretty lit they offered a completely free trial (minus delivery), but I would never pay full price for this subscription box.
We just ordered a discounted trial of Hello Fresh that's coming next Saturday (we got $30 off for signing up) & we picked two chicken & one salmon dish. So I'll do the same review then.
Side note: I have no intentions of starting a real subscription to any meal service, we're just doing it for sign up offers & then cancelling, coz we're broke & it's an industry that has profited a lot during covid so they'll survive, but I thought I'd still review anyway.
