Dinner Party Enthusiasts
The pictures above are from The Zoo. The Zoo is the house Margaux and I lived in with 3 more of our best girlfriends. I think Margaux and I would both agree that The Zoo is where ARGAUX was born. We hosted dinner parties almost every weekend. These dinner parties were not your typical college fiestas. 10 or 12 of us would start the night out with a bottle of our favorite little wine from Whole Foods, Protea Chenin Blanc, and the dinner party would commence. Music, cooking, dancing, eating, clinking glasses “cheers!”, drinking, and on and on and on. It was simple. Good food, wine, tunes, and the best of company.
On my very first business card 2 years ago I put “Pilates Teacher & Dinner Party Enthusiast.” I think ARGAUX is certainly a Sommelier-Guided Experience but the ARGAUX concept was developed first and foremost out of nightly dinner parties. Sometimes there’d be 12 people squished at our table built for 8. Other times it’d be the 5 roommates taking turns to cook dinner so we could all sit down and talk about the day, the week, the year, and enjoy one another. I thank each one of my closest friends for memories and moments that stay with me. But I have to thank the food and the wine for bringing us to the table every night. That dinner table was a huge part of my relationship with my roommates who I call my best friends. ¡SALUD!
Flash forward...
The first but certainly not last ARGAUX Wine Dinner took place a couple weeks ago in Laguna Beach. We curated a menu of small plates, olive oils, carpaccio, and grilled chicken with wine pairings.
This is exactly what ARGAUX is about. A passion for wine deeply rooted in food and cooking. We are dinner party enthusiasts and tastemakers excited to share our idea of entertainment: simple, flavorful, and just right. Food and wine together create something that may not exist if either are experienced on their own. Our goal is to provide our culture with easy access to wine professionals who know how to cook and create a memorable dinner party for your backyard BBQ, homemade pizza night, or little black dress dinner party. We arrive, we cook, we teach, we taste, we leave and you continue to enjoy your evening with those you shared a food and wine experience with.
