Dad: Your mother just called and said she wants you to help make dinner tonight. Your choices are de-tailing the shrimp, chopping the peppers, or cooking the linguine. Pick your poison.

Me: Just to clarify, "de-tailing" the shrimp does not include painting little hot-rod flames on them, does it?

Dad: No.

Mom: Have you decided what you're going to do to help with dinner yet?

Me: *recounts earlier conversation with Dad*
