So I’m one of those people who actually remember some of their dreams. And last night was really active in that regard. Long post, so click the Read More if you wanna read about it.
I don’t remember all of it, but I was involved in some sort of movie in the making. I think it was a Mowgli movie, or at least something similar. There was this young boy who got along with animals. But in urban setting.
I wasn’t going to be in the movie, but rather worked to help in the making of that movie. So I was given this pager kind of thing, and told to look for animals in trouble, or some such. They weren’t too kind when asking, either. Before I left, I saw them excavating a small building with multiple floors. They were digging the ground from under it. No idea why, I was wondering about that in my dream, too. So I said to my dad, that I don’t think that’s safe. He agreed. And then the thing collapsed, falling to one side. Nobody got hurt, but still.
Anyway, that’s when I left. I jogged around a hill, then walked a street up another hill. A stream flowed down on the right side, and after a little walking I saw beavers. They were dead, or at least appeared dead. They had a small den hole dug into the bank, and the pups were dead too, save for one. I used the pager thing to call the movie folks over. But before they arrived, somthing happened and the beavers were gone. Now, I have NO idea what happened. But when the movie people came there, there was no beavers. I tried to explain, but they didn’t believe me, and were angry with me. So I moved on.
Dad was with me this time. We walked for some time, then found a shit-ton of butterflies. So many, and on the ground, that we had to watch our step so as not to crush them. Some were species that are actually real, some were not. But it was pretty. We agreed that they likely didn’t need help, so we moved on.
The next thing we found, under the other side of the hill, was a zoo. But this zoo had dinosaurs. But not the realistic, HD dinosaurs we usually see in the movies and like. No. These were like the wobbly, badly drawn dinoes in the terrible coloring books you see. Ugly.
Anyway, there was a pteranodon (I hope I wrote that right), a few herbivores that I didn’t see clearly enough to recognize, a medium carnivore, and a largish carnivore. The pterosaur and herbivores were so that you could actually be in their exhibits, but the carnivores were closed in theirs. I was worried though. And mind you, I usually am when dinosaurs are concerned, in each of my dreams. So I started looking for safe places, escape routes. And found one. That’s when the medium carnivore got loose. Me and dad ran to a door, then climbed up the ladders inside. There was a hatch, and we climbed to where it lead. It was a sort of room, from where there was a rope bridge or something to somwhere. I don’t remember if it was closed or not, but if it was it had windows. And the medium carnivore saw us, starting to shake the building.
Granted, I don’t remember how or why, but the medium one went away. And I was alone, and avoiding the larger one. And this is really, really weird.
It had a female, human face. And it was creepy as hell. How I escaped it, no idea.
