❛ running into people i haven't seen in years is starting to get a little played out . ❜ kai spoke as he entered the record store . dion being the first person he saw in the small and enclosed shop . it really was getting a little old , running into people from the past . ( a little boring . ) the same old small talk that drove him 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐄 . kai wasn't one for small talk , already searching for something that could keep him entertained or 𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐃 for the time being . he had to kill time somehow and the last thing he wanted to kill it with was useless chatter . that being said , kai was the type that only felt any real purpose to anything if it was causing some sort of adrenaline or rush to curse through him . he wanted to feel like he was on 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄 , like everything around him would burst into flames at any given moment . so there was a chance his standards were a bit warped . ❛ it's fine , we can skip the pleasantries . i know , i look great . yadda , yadda , yadda . ❜ kai speaking as unserious as always as he walked over to one of the stands of records and started glancing through it . ❛ so , ❜ he began , now glancing back up at her . ❛ tell me , what've you been up to ? go off and become some sort or singer or some shit ? ❜ he asked , perhaps letting the small talk linger for a moment before he bored himself .
