Diplomatic destinations // Beau & Asher
It was beginning to grow dark outside the windows of Beau's flat as she set her empty cup of tea down on the kitchen side, making a note to buy some more when she got a moment. She knew she could send Bobbin out to run those small errands, but often it was nice to break up her day with one reason to leave the office or another. Even after years of desk work, it still left her restless. Craving the field at times.
She glanced briefly to the bag the elf had left packed by the door, packed for two nights at least. Better to prepare than not. She looked the the watch on her wrist with a sigh, tapping it gently with her wand to change it from displaying the current alignment of the planets to the time. She had a while, although she knew Asher would be early. It was an old aurour habit, something that came with difficult training and precise timekeeping within the office itself.
Beau had given her wand a soft swish in order to charm her hair off of her face when she heard the knock, and knowing that the elf was busy she headed for the door herself. She opened it wand in hand, asking the usual security question of "What was the name of the first creature we had to transfigure in aurour training?"
