oh man, definitely raz! boy's got much more confidence than dipper at least, that's for sure. maybe dipper thought about asking him first but didn't and instead ended up overthinking everything and just making things harder for himself because he's an Anxious Idiot (tm). and maybe raz overheard some of his thoughts (because he probably was just standing like a few feet away or something) and was like, "well alright guess i'll just do it myself" lol
