ʚ⟡ɞ notes: i admire its attempts but it still feels very surface level and something that has been done a million times before. not that that is wrong, but to reuse a similar plotline you need to at least expand on it. i like the subtle undertones of misogyny and how they become so much clearer as the film goes on, but it feels like it is missing something. however, at least we got a female director to make this because otherwise it would've been an absolute trainwreck from the very start. don't worry darling has a strong foundation that isn't properly built upon, and florence pugh really shines as an actress here. also the "i'm sorry" scene with jack was probably some of the worst acting harry styles what are we doing here. review here
