ʚ⟡ɞ notes: it was so insane that they tried to make us hate emma as if it wasn't discussed that she was severely mentally ill and had actively no support. and then she fucked up, realised her mistake, never went through with it and overcompensated for ever wanting to do harm by doing the exact opposite and fighting against gun violence. like i'm sorry but what rachel did was truly so awful that child could've died and she got lucky but somehow she's on her moral highhorse??? idk im writing this like two months later in july so i don't fully remember the exact details of the film but i remember discussing this with my boyfriend over dumplings and it was so crazy. like god i've never felt so bad for someone in the same way i felt bad for emma. justice for emma. shoutout zendaya and robert pattinson though i need them in more films together asap. review here

ʚ⟡ɞ notes: my boyfriend knowa i hate surprises but he took me into the city and out to dinner before telling me at the end of it that we were going to see project hail mary in IMAX. it was genuinely the nicest surprise ever,, this is the movie of the year truly. ryan gosling is incredible and he really brought grace to life in a way that i didn't think could be possible. i think about this movie all the time it's gotta be one of my favourite films ever. review here

my (probably not) hot take is that the mandalorian and grogu movie would've been a better if it was an 8 episode season. i wanted depth and character exploration and that movie gave us nothing. i wanted more about embo and marrok and how they picked up the bounty. i wanted more about the bits prior to mando and grogu going after that first bounty. i wanted more personality and life from mando. it was extremely mid at best and this is the first time i've thought about it since i saw it two days ago.
