one of my biggest gripes with the golden deer route is that we don’t kill lorenz’s dad and his murder of claude’s relatives and raphael’s parents doesn’t have any narrative consequences besides being mentioned. in general, i feel like they had much grander plans for golden deer’s family members and ran out of time. like sylvain, felix, ashe, mercedes, and annette all have family that are prominent parts of the game that they can lose or interact with and like... anyway i’m bitter

yes we are still talking about three houses anyway it was really fun how leonie like got mad at byleth after jeralt died because she didn't’ know how to process her 1) grief and 2) feelings of inadequacy, so 3) the fandom decided to collectively hate her for 4) being a realistic complex person who 5) doesn’t just fall over for the main character and 6) has flaws and room to grow

Like she's a darling of blue lions besties quadrilateral for what yelling at Sylvain and Felix not to be dickheads? Literally it has no effect & if you ignore her character entirely they are enjoyable and grow at the same exact pace

She allegedly values Justice and Chivalry yet supports the fascist genocide of an entire ethnic group and culture because she sees their existence as a personal crime against her & even when (if) she "comes around," it's awkward, stilted, and insincere

She's "gender non-conforming" for not liking makeup & people think she's like feminist for this, yet she hates wlw and is disgusted when she realizes Dorothea's flirting is serious

She's loved for loving meat and food and being a jock but Petra and Raphael beat her out soundly

Marianne is a better, weirder horsegirl

& Leonie actually grew up poor instead of fake poor
