I'll always stand by Heroes being the best media to truly explore and engage with Rhea's character.

"But she's nothing but a dragon unit-

And yet, her overall perspective and varied personality are still far more respected than in both Fodlan games.

Also, her getting plenty of Fallen Bonds is what the closest she's gotten to support chains outside of Byleth's (the type of characterisation a lot agreed she needed, btw), which almost everyone ignores, misunderstands, and hates anyway?

Want to see how she tries to keep appearances whilst yearning to connect like her advice notes hint to? We get Archbishop Rhea.

The past life she ran built the trauma and result of her people's slaughter? Saint Seiros.

Rhea just fucking vibing in current matriach time?? Fun witch Rhea & summer beach Rhea. The latter even having Byleth with her and enjoying life, despite what ppl like to say their dynamic commonly is.

Making Silver Snow's ending and overall turn more understable and tragic? Fallen Rhea, my beloved.

The recent they even made an unit where Rhea actually does interact with Sothis, and despite the bittersweet notion of Sothis struggling to connect, they still get along, and that's still further development and care that gives her connection some breath of fresh air.

People are so comfortable with the mainline or their fanon making her an accessory, pawn and frankly isolated and disposable comapred to other characters they've made clear they care more about, to the point where searching for any Rhea-centric media that isn't meant to treat her as inherently lesser in some way is a genuine rarity, and yet in the gacha that's a slot machine for accurate and respectful characterisation? She finally gets some good fucking food.

She gets so many units to display different and favourable aspects that isn't made to compliment another character for once, but specifically to compliment Rhea's!

That's the type of shit that fe16 went out of its way to not give, even the anniversary game that made sure to give her the tiniest crumbs in Byleth's tomb paralogue.

So, yeah, forgive me if I prefer her in a role where her character gets to be as treated as nicely as the rest of the main cast, considering its what she always needed and deserved from the beginning.
