‘Oh? I can’t?’ Loki asked, smirking slightly. His eyes gleamed with mischief. Humans were always so entertaining. They thought they rule the world, blissfully ignorant of higher beings laughing at their expense. ‘That’s very bold of you to presume what I can or cannot do... Director Graves. I’m above your silly laws and rules, and quite frankly I don’t give a fuck about the squabbles within your kind. The name is Loki, god of mischief, by the way. As entertaining as this little chat was, I have better things to do now.’

           “You don’t look too fine to me.” She could sense so much conflict within and the blood did nothing to convince her otherwise. It wasn’t so clear WHY he was going through this, the blood only adding more concern for her. “Look, honey, you really seem a little beat up an’ I don’t feel right just leaving it. At least let me help with the blood. An’ don’t cha worry ‘bout me, I’ve seen worse than a little blood coming from a nose.” There was a warm smile that followed her lips as she pulled out a clean cloth and attempted to reach over and help. Every move she made was delicate and SLOW, not wanting to cause any further discomfort or confusion for the other. There were things about him that did not add up, differences that Queenie was more than determined to figure out. “What happened to you?”

It’s hard to believe those words. Nothing? Truly nothing? No one else is capable of this, what he can do only caused harm and suffering, to him and everyone else around him. What he can do have only made people fear him, hate him or want to use him. Only a handful of people showed care, guided him in a way so he was not completely lost, so he had an inkling that he was more than just a monster, and he was one of them, at least before his likeness was used as a tool against him. That in itself seemed like another proof that something is definitely wrong with him. Even those who don’t wish him harm have been hurt because of him.

He wants to say all those things, but rather chooses to just nod slowly. His pain and anger doesn’t lie with him, partly, it lies with himself still, the teachers who taught him to hate himself for what and who he is have done a very good job. But his anger equally lies with those who implanted those ideas in his mind. But with Graves, the last thing he wants to do is argue, so he simply nods.
