Sadly not the last of that low budget movie update.There’s gonna be a reshoot day #2. Idk if they meant to have me today, but I sent them an invoice regardless. I saw the trailer today and some edited scenes that scared me in what they lack of post (colour correction and sound normalization).

Update on that movie: They ran out of budget, asked me for a day free for reshoots and I laughed... no. So idk if that means I’m working or not. Then today the director messaged me to do post work on the sound. So he thought I would not work for free for a day but I’d be cool with many days? Ni mis panas se atreven preguntarme algo asi.

Finally wrapped that never ending, much postponed movie! Only missing one day of reshoots in two weeks. Gosh that almost broke my back and my wrist hasn’t healed. I’ll never do both boom and mix without an assistant for so long again. Also never do both for so little pay. Ever, Even for one day.

Another update: Authorized to go almost average rate for boom op. No one will take it. Not because it’s too low, they too busy or waiting for the series that has two units. Nope. Because now to fuck it all up there’s a strike from the union and nobody in sound is willing to accept below. Fuck. Me. Also today fought with the DP because instead of treating me like a department head, he is under the impression I was his assistant. Fuck that dude too.

Update: Still no boom op. Still sunburnt but haven’t done long exterior shoots since Saturday. I napped a little while after most of the actors left. My SD card is circulating around.

Update: No boom op today. Went good but I can't do both the rest of the days. Authorized to pay more but no bites. Sigh.I got called for three gigs but I had to turn them down even though they pay more because of this movie. Unhappy there because probs won’t call when I’m done the 20th. Hm... still unburnt but I don’t mind right now.
