Question to UWMA fans

In episode 9 and 10, we see Pharm being there for Dean while not letting things get to uncomfortable for him. I want to know if the director or cast have ever talked about why Pharm is more resistant/hesitant about sexual contact with Dean.

I agree that talks of consents are great and they seem to have some great conversations on this show. I just want to see what is going through Pharm's head at that time. I can guess what might be the thought process, but I'm curious if the Director mentioned about this part of Pharm's character.

I also know that the actor who plays Pai's dad is also Korn's brother from UWMA and Mix (Dan, Dean's brother from UWMA) is in Ep 4 along with Olive who played Fai in Together With Me but I don't have access to ep 4 yet.
