When we first started out I read every comment. EVERY SINGLE ONE! If you've been following us since P.O.P. then you can imagine how crazy they could get lol. By the time we did the first season of SMOKE AND MIRRORS I was pretty much obsessed with audience engagement. That is until episode 6 when I got my first wack comment and thumbs down. I was devastated! Going through the footage from Monday night's shoot for my next short film and decided to grab this image and play with it a little. Re-watching footage and giving notes is one of the most tedious parts of the process but it's also the time that I fall in love with the project all over again. Whenever I write something, anything at all, I can see the characters, I can hear them, I know how they dress, everything. When it's time to cast, I'm always a little bit nervous that I won't find what I'm looking for but I hope for the best. To date, I can't say that I've ever been upset with what I got. Since I was in New York and casting was being done in Atlanta, I had the luxury of watching audition footage from bed. @artemusjenkins and I casted two people we agreed on and we were set. The thing though, was that I REALLY liked @billy_shoots and @heddarosexual and I couldn't shake it. I went back in an wrote an entire scene for them. As the universe would have it, they went on to be the stars of DECISIONS WHILE IMPAIRED just the same and I am super grateful for it! #ContentCreatorConfessions #BeyondComplicated is here and to be honest, I've been a great big ball of nerves since we dropped the trailer. This has generally been the case since I made the transition into web content from theatre. In the theatre, you can feel the energy in the room, hear the people laugh , cry, gasp, SOMETHING!
