I enjoy Space Marine a lot. Except for the fact that nobody plays outside the Classic map rotation, nobody plays in general, and fucking Meltakiddies.
Now that I have Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, this is going to be a lot of me bitching about changes, major or small, good or bad.
What's even the point of battling trainers if the exp doesn't save after each session?
That run was going alright, but fuck the aliens. First they torment NA, so I build an interception base there. Then they completely drop their NA campaign and fuck with SA. Then they drop that ant torment eastern China and Soviet Union.
So turn of the second month I build a base out there with the money I have, and then they decide to almost nonstop fuck with South America during the entire month.
And then eventually there's a terror mission outside the range of the only base I have a fucking troop transport at.
I sorta miss the days of the globe trotting Skyranger.
And just like that I'm pretty much done with this game.
>First mission is night >Have my landing area well lit before I end my turn, sniper with plenty of TU's for a well placed reaction shot >Alien strolls into view >Sniper shoots directly into the ground a couple tiles in front of them >Alien blasts one of my guys a good one, but they survive >The injured guy berserks and murders one of the my guys on the complete other side of my deployment zone with pinpoint accuracy
Like, fuck that. Pisses me off about as much as when I found out in an earlier build of Xenonauts I was playing your soldiers had better accuracy free-shooting tiles behind aliens than they did actually aiming at the aliens. Their shooting was almost spot-on when you WEREN'T aiming at the enemy.
Time for more Xenonauts. Hopefully gonna round out my early-game.
This time, out of my 10 starting soldiers, the largest nationality represented is German, with three West Germans and one East German.
Not a single soldier has previous combat experience.
