brobug based on 2 seperste some asks I have in my inbox.
I'll proabbly stop posting everyday (it's been 23 days Wow) cuz it makes it a bit hard for me to focus on the important stuff (important stuff being trying to figure out lil bug lore and like do little comics with them. I got 2 asks in my inbox that I have ideas for answers but they require Set Up. Which I don't have rn). So yea. Hope you like brobug making out with a smuppet (I didn't meant to draw him making out with a smuppet but it happened anyways).

You find him behind the head of his beheaded smuppet where he's munching on the offered fruit as if somebody was to take it away from him in any moment. He dissapears again after realizing you're staring at him. You count yourself lucky that no toothpick where thrown in your direction.

I read caliborns masterpiece and just. Gosz it's just precious? generally caliborns art is so fucking precious to me.
Like at first the unreadable scribbles he makes just feel like a means to an end. A way to upset people. a way to laugh at his sister. to make a joke out of something she cares about.
but the further you go the more it feels like caliborn actually cares and enjoys making art. He tries to get better! homosuck doesn't look super good but he made it! That's a lot of art there. and paper cutouts. That too.
and then we get to God gifts to the yaois and I'm sure everybody who draws on the internet or at least used to sit on deviant art knows what I'm talking about. We were there. We know what it's like to make art like that. Maybe we even have old drawings stashed somewhere I'm our rooms or in the attics. And it gets precious. because it's a learning artist enjoying their creation and we from outside maybe know it's shit but we know that he's so proud of it and we know what if felt like. And that's so important.
and the the masterpiece comes. I officially love caliborns masterpiece. it's just clay and paper and pipe cleaners and some very basic image editing. It's a child creation. made out of kids crafts supplies. It's a stop motion where you can see the wires holding the figures and where a chest moves cuz it's been bumped on accident. It's not good on technical level. Sounds are just one song on loop and mouthsounds. But it exists regardless and it has such an important role too. I find it so fucking precious.
Theres one blog on tumblr that I once saw that was pretty much only doing pipecleaner stop motions animations. and like. Pipecleaners are not an optimal medium for stop motion! But who cares! It exists! it exists and it's wonderful and it makes me feel soft on the insides cuz art doesn't have to be this expensive thing where you need expensive tools and years of experience to make something.
it can be a set of gifs (vines?) made by a kid showing a cool story they were told with simple clay figures. it can be a pipecleaner stop motion animation made by an adult who makes it cuz they love.
Art doesn't have to be "good". It has to just exist. And it's so endlessly precious to me.
shitty doodles of davebug in some clothes (wow) and also where davebug decided to try to nest. Its dirks computer. Dirk is not happy about it. hal finds it kinda endearing (that davebug chose him over dirk) but also is afraid about his insides. the bunny is proabably as big or bigger as davebug.

I like to think that striders are like. extremely cuddle but Only under right circumstances.
Like. For Dave he theoretically likes cuddles and hugs and skin contact but also any phisical touch is labeled as DANGER in his head. So cuddles are only OK if he's initiating.
And for Dirk it's kinda similar but difrent. Like I think he has the need for cuddles and shit but also he's a dirk so and also touching skin is just a lot for him. guy lived 16 years with 0 phisical contact with other people. So I think he's Vedy cuddly with plushies (cough cough lil cal on she sholder 24/7) and with people if it's him initiating or if it's person labeled as safe then he really likes it but only for a relatively short time (he gets overwhelmed pretty fast by it). He would love to just cuddle for hours tho but thats dirk so he's not gonna do it even if be didn't get overwhelmed.
Also in case of both if them a surprise cuddle can lead to weapon of their choice being on your throat.
