Even though I'm not always right, I can count on the sun to shine.
Tomorrow Night my sister Robin and I will venture up to Cleveland for The Dirty Work Tour. Now tomorrows show is giving me (excited) butterflies for several reasons.
One.)Tomorrow Will be My brother in-law's FIRST EVER concert.
Yup, you read that right. As you've probably guess, he's older than I (27 to be exact) and the man has NEVER been to a concert. His first taste of the high that is the energy of a live show was last year at the county fair watching the Journey Cover band. Not exactly a great first concert. He's never heard music so loud it feels like you're going to lose your hearing, never felt the energy of having hundreds of people crammed into the same space who are just as excited as you are, never sang so loud that you lose your voice ( although he's not much of a sing along type, he's kinda quiet) and he's never been in a mosh pit. The last one might not happen for awhile because he'll only go if I go and I have a HOB mosh pit phobia (see below). Before he met Robin his musical taste was whatever they played on the radio, weird 90's rap and ICP. We've since introduced him to better music and he's well on his way to recovery.
Two.) All Time Low is headlining and I special love for those guys. I'll admit, My love reaches "fangirl" on the scale of how much I love them every once and a while but for the most part it's rested firmly on "Supportive, lifer fan". It goes without saying that I've loved ATL for awhile. I don't have a favorite member nor do I want to fuck any of the band members ( even though all of them are completely adorable). I'm so freaking stoked to see them again, their live shows are always awesome. I've never met them because I'm always intimidated by the long lines to wait to see them or the crowds of people around them. Maybe one day I'll bump into them on the street or something. I might not even say anything then, I have a very "treat them as you would want to be treated" view when it comes to meeting famous people.
Three.) Yellowcard is back! I never had the chance to see them live in their heyday but I've always felt a special connection to that era of music ( dammit mum! Why couldn't Robin and I have been twins?) . The fact that they are back in full force with an AMAZING new album is......epic. to say the least.
Now this is my third time seeing All Time Low live and I intend to do this show the right way. The first time was in '08 at the AP tour, I got trampled on in the pit during Sonny Moore and ended up chatting up Scott Heisel in the Lobby ( after calling my best friend in CA,crying, fearful I was going to miss the show) and ended the night sitting in the back of the venue on a stool next to my ex-Bestfriend's stepdad while ATL's awesome but profanity laced intro played. AWKWARD. The Second time was at the Bamboozle Roadshow summer '10 and I spent their set at the back of the crowd ( I had already been at the front and did not want to fight that beast again) and their set got cut in half due to technical difficulties.
This time I intend to do things right. I'm going to get inline ahead of time so I can get a spot along the edge of the pit by the sound booth ( close enough to see the show well but no dangers of breaking my ankle.) and not get injured!
someone threw a panda hat and justin bieber doll at them.

I Don't Wanna Dance- Hey Monday
Excuse me while I obsess over all the bands I saw on the Dirty Work Tour.
P.S. Joining the ranks of Selena Gomez and Tay Jardine, Cassadee Pope is now added to the list of girls I wannabe. She might be at the top of the list. Haha yes, they do all sing for bands.
This song goes out to anybody who has ever felt like the way they think or the way they feel is the wrong way to think or feel. It goes out to anybody who has ever been told that they were wrong. Or anybody that's ever felt alone. It goes out to anybody who feels like they can't live their lives the way they want to live it. You are who you are and that is the most beautiful thing in the world. Please never stop being you. Don't listen to what anyone else ever tells you its 2011 people stop giving other people shit.
